Her current pet project is rais- ing funds here in Canada for an isolation ward at the Clanwil- liam Hospital. Barb Bosman and Lena Nesbitt chose a reflection "Hearing Loss" for the women to contemplate as the newyear starts. The reading began with the story of a woman who was having difficulty hearing and learned from her audiologist that she needed hearing aids. To put off wearing hearing aids might result in her brain losing some of its hearing response. The longer she waited the harder it would be to adjust to the help. In Mark 4:9 Jesus says "Those who have ears to hear, let him hear." When it comes to our faith sometimes we require hearing aids as well to hear God's message to/for us. We can develop a faith loss. Jesus' ideas, His message of love and forgivenesswas new for the people of His time. Similarly we need to re -hear His message, to open our hearts to accept new teachings. The message was that we need to listen with new ears on Sunday mornings and see with new eyes the words of the Bible. Decide this year you want to hear well God's words. During the business part of the evening it was decided that the M &S allocation for 2016 for the group would be the same as in 2015. Due to the increasing cost of groceries, a slight change was made in catering prices. The Londesborough UCW will host the Huron -Perth UCW Presbyterial's Spring Fling the evening of April 4. In prepara- tion for this there will be shine up day on March 14. The group's next meeting will be on Monday, February 15 beginning at 7 p.m. with coffee, etc. LCB [AN6flv®uEN C118fprul 8011118 ht.
