Craig Bann (seated on ATV), a Grade 10 student, took a lead in this project. CHSS Students Help Hullett Marsh! Scott Austin Fish & Wildlife Technician, Marsh Manager The grade 10 "Transportation" class taught by Mr. Greidanus at Central Huron Secondary School has made a significant contribu- tion to the local community. The Friends of Hullett (FOH) operate the Hullett Provincial Wildlife Area located outside of Clinton. An old 1992 Yamaha ATV had sat idle in the barn not running for many years. Mr. Greidanus approached the FOH offering to W 1 1 1 111 pick up the ATV and attempt to repair the bike to working condi- tion with his technical class. Grade 10 student Craig Baan took a lead in this project and along with the rest of the class the old ATV is up and running with carburetor, drivetrain and brake work completed. The bike was picked up January 25 and has a new life as a func- tional vehicle used in the man- agement of the Hullett Marsh. The Tech Department at CHSS has come a long way in the last few years including the Tech Open House event held on Jan- uary 13. The Friends of Hullett would like to thank Mr. Greidanus and his class for their efforts. The stu- dents recognized FOH as a local charity and took it upon them- selves to raise funds totalling $95 towards the cost of parts for the ATV. This gesture was really appreciated.
