Sydney McCash plays in
London for the Women's
Hockey League with the
London Devilettes Peewee
AA. The team won gold at
the Lanxess International
Silver Stick tournament held
in Sarnia on January 22-24.
Twelve year old McCash is
the daughter of Jason and
Angannette McCash of
Clinton.
Sharon Carter of Clinton is
Sydney's proud grand-
mother. Carter excitedly
relates, "Sydney is just one of
many hockey players in the
family and comes from a
long line of players. Her
great grandpa was a lifetime
member of the WOAA and a
trophy is presented every
year to the Juniors in town
for best sportsmanlike
player." She adds that both
her son's and her daughter's
children play hockey. She
has a lot to be proud of with
all of her grandchildren.
Angannette says, "We are
a hockey family. Sydney's
siblings play, too. We are
pretty much always on the
road." She describes her
daughter as working hard to
achieve her goals, but hum-
ble when she is asked to talk
about her accomplishments.
Beat the temptation.
