The Radars broke on top first as Kurtis Bartliff found the back of the net at 4:02 of the first period while playing short- handed. Bartliff cashed in on a two on one break with Sean Consitt setting up the marker. The Radars jumped into a 2-0 lead at 10:15 as Justin Reid scored his first of two goals. Ryan Murphy fed Consitt a beautiful pass through the crease and Consitt easily tapped it in. Luke Vick earned an Joey's Corner Joe Livermore assist on the goal too. Petrolia's Tyler Prong cut the Radar lead to 2-1 at 12:29 as his slapper beat Radar goalie Marc Nother cleanly. But Clinton came storming back to take a two -goal lead as Ryan Murphy scored on a five on three power play. Bar- tliff and Marcus Salo worked the puck around until Murphy was able to bury his slap shot from if it's local, it's here 33 Main St., Seaforth 519.600.1577 Direct 519.272.5413 THE SIGN THAT SAYS SOLD thirty feet out. In the second session, the Radars seemed to relax too much with the two goal lead, and the Squires took advantage of some sloppy Radar play. Petrolia's Dan Veenema and Ryan Trottier scored goals at 9:57 and 14:51 while the Radars were playing shorthanded. Clinton was badly out - shot in the middle frame by 21 to 4. If it wasn't for some outstanding goal - tended by Marc Nothers, the score could have been much higher in Petrolia's favour than 3-3 at the end of two periods. In the third stanza, the Radars stepped it up a notch after a disastrous second period. At 7:44 they were rewarded as Justin Reid broke the 3-3 tie. Kurtis Bartliff stole a puck at just inside the Petrolia blue line and found Reid wide open for a one timer. Final shots on goal were in the Squires favour as they outshot the Radars 39 to 32. Both teams were whistled for 10 minor penalties in the contest. Clinton's next game is at home this Friday night on December 9 at 8:30 as they take on the Tavistock Royals. The Radars executive are urging any fan to wear an ugly Christmas hockey sweater to the game as there will be a draw for the ugliest jersey. Around 11:30 p.m., Huron County Ontario Provincial Police received a call from a nearby resident that reported there was a loud party taking place inside the trailer park that had been going on for several hours. Upon arrival officers heard a loud argument taking place inside the residence so they approached the residence in an effort to investigate what they thought was a possible domes- tic altercation. The investigating officer was immediately met by an intoxi- cated male that refused to iden- tify himself and further refused to comply with the officer. Fur- ther, while the officer was attempting to speak with the male on the doorstep, the male tried to slam shut the door on the officer. During the course of the inves- tigation officers also found the male to be in possession of marihuana. Further checks also revealed the male was currently serving a probation sentence and was failing to comply with conditions of his release. As a result, a 72 -year-old man from Niagara Falls has been charged with Obstruct Peace Officer, Resist Peace Officer, Possession of a Schedule II Sub- stance — Cannabis Marihuana and Fail to Comply with Proba- tion Order (2 counts).
