OPP UPDATES
THIEVES ABANDON
STOLEN PICKUP
TRUCK
(MORRIS-TURNBERRY, ON) — Two
thieves had to abandon a stolen pickup
truck after the owner of the truck gave
chase to thwart the theft. At approxi-
mately 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, August 14,
2016 OPP officers responded to the area
of Martin Line and Brandon Road after
receiving a call from the truck owner.
Officers learned the owner of an older
model Dodge Ram pickup truck was milk-
ing cows at his Moncrieff Road farm when
he heard the sound of his truck engine
retying up. He immediately looked over to
the area where the truck was parked and
he watched as the pickup raced off his
property travelling westbound on Moncri-
eff Road. He quickly jumped into another
truck and gave chase. The thieves pro-
ceeded northbound on Martin Line until
they stalled the stolen truck and aban-
doned it in a field.
After abandoning the truck, one of the
suspects hopped into an escape vehicle
that was travelling with the stolen vehi-
cle. The owner described this suspect
as being a male in his early 20's and the
escape vehicle was described as a grey,
late model, Ford F-150. It was last seen
travelling westbound on Brandon Road
towards Belgrave.
Huron OPP would like to speak with any
person with information regarding this
attempted stolen vehicle occurrence. Huron
OPP investigators can be contacted by call-
ing 1-888-310-1122 or (519) 524-8314.

LAID IN BLUEWATER
(BLUEWATER, ON) — A female driver
from Middlesex Centre is facing Impaired
Care & Control and Over 80 charges fol-
lowing an investigation that took place
on August 6, 2016. At 6:18 a.m. a Huron
County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP)

the west shoulder of Bluewater Veteran's
Highway near Shangrila Road.
The investigating officer noticed extensive
damage on the driver's side of the vehi-

condition of the driver and the vehicle. The

subsequently provided two samples of her
breath to a qualified IntoxilizerTechnician.
