Kinsmen add convenience and funds to community complex with new ATM machine

An ATM should be in
the Central Huron Com-
munity Complex by the
beginning of September,
thanks to the Clinton
Kinsmen.
They got the idea from
the Fish and Game Club
who put an ATM in their
club house and are making
quite a bit of money from it.
The Kinsmen have
decided that after the ATM
is paid off using the pro-
ceeds from the machine,
all the money raised by
the ATM will go back into
the Community Complex.
This will help with their
commitment they made to
raise $50,000 for the
complex.
It costs around $3000 for
a new ATM, and as for
upkeep, the Kinsmen just
have to make sure there is
money in the machine and
do the daily reports.
"With ATM machines,
there's a three or four dollar
service charge," said Kins-
men member Cody Lobb.
After the first year, 20% of
the proceeds goes to a war-
ranty, but the rest goes to
the Kinsmen. This gives
them the opportunity to
raise quite a bit for the
complex if the machine is
well used.
They hope to have the
machine on the main floor
of the complex for the
OHL exhibition game
between the London
Knights and Erie Otters on
September 8.
