Lots New for Lucknow's Music in the Fields 2016 2016 promises to be another exciting year for one of the finest weekends of country music at Lucknow's Music in the Fields, held August 25-27 at the Lucknow Soccer Fields. One of the challenges for fes- tivals is to try and find new and interesting activities to keep the event fresh and exciting for all patrons. Entering our eighth year, we have a loyal following of people who identify with the festival, but we also believe that we owe it to these people to provide new experiences, and we make great efforts to improve upon past successes. So what's new this year? Thursday night throw down. This year we are offering yet another night of entertain- ment. Campers are starting to come in earlier and by Thurs- day night, we typically have over half of our campers on site. This year, we chose to pro- vide even more value and entertainment with our "Thursday Night Throw Down" Providing the stage enter- tainment will be "The Abrams'; a brand new up and coming band to the world of Canadian country. You will have seen them at the Country Music Association of Ontario Awards and heard them on the radio with their newest single `Fine! This will be supported by DJ Bugleboy, who will spin some of country's top hits. Graceland camping. Our newest campground is now ready and open for business. Lucknow's Music in the Fields has not only become known for its great music, but as a camping destination, and as a result the camping has grown with the festival. There became a real need to find a more permanent camping solution within close proxim- ity to the festival site. From this, Graceland was born. It is 55 acres of prime camping area that is about a 15 minute walk to the festival ground. For those who don't enjoy a relaxing, scenic walk through a nature trail, ample bussing will be available to get you to the festival. Inflatable playground. If you're looking for something fun to do in the campground on Friday and Saturday this year, we are introducing a new all -ages inflatable playground into Graceland brought to you byX Infused from London. This fun zone will be a cir- cuit of inflatable games and obstacles that camping patrons will be able to utilize throughout the weekend. These games will be family - friendly and sure to provide hours of entertainment for 1 = 1 1 everyone. Timing will be announced leading up closer to the big weekend. For the wee festival -goers. On Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. to noon, we will be hosting the "Tumbleweeds Club', a unique experience for kids aged 6-12. This is an opportunity for the up and coming country generation to have a little fun away from Mom and Dad. For a nominal cost of $25, they will have a sneak peak of what goes on behind the scenes at Lucknow's Music in the Fields. They will have an opportunity to visit one of the stages and be a star for a few minutes, paint festival murals, get a Tumbleweeds t -shirt, share some snacks, t•.i'I : r1 .! ikti Huron Superior Memorials • MONUMENTS • FLAT MARKERS • INSCRIPTIONS Appointments in the privacy of your own home anytime MICHAEL 5. The primary park- ing lot will still be at the Luc - know Sports Complex with overflow parking close -by. Once at the parking lot, the Lucknow Transit System, a bus service put on by the Luc - know and District Kinsmen, will pick you up and take you directly to the festival ground, all for free!
