HomeMy WebLinkAboutClinton News Record, 2016-08-03, Page 3122 kids are deep-sea discoverers at Clinton CRC Vacation Bible School Justine Alkema Clinton News Record This year's theme at Clinton Christian Reformed Church's Vacation Bible School (VBS) was "Deep -Sea Discovery': Every Bible story the kids learned about fol- lowed the water theme including the story of Jonah, Noah and more. The camp ran each morning at the church and included snack, science, stories, crafts and games. The different themes the activities revolved around each day were "God knows me'; "God hears me; "God strengthens me", "God loves me" and "God sends me' . It included children from ages three to grade six, and 122 kids were registered which is the high- est number of kids they have had in several years. One volunteer credited this to promoting the event earlier and using social media to get the message out Wednesday, August 3, 2016 • News Record 3 there.
