The Clinton Kinsmen made a
presentation to the Clinton
Public Hospital (CPH) Founda-
tion at their meeting on April 5.
Kinsmen President Steve Presz-
cator stated that this current
donation cheque of $3,908 now
puts the club at a level of hav-
ing given over $50,000 to the
CPH Foundation to date.
Directors Jane Groves and
Fred Lobb accepted the dona-
tion on behalf of the CPH
Foundation. Lobb asked for an
idea of what types of things the
Clinton Kinsmen had done to
raise the funds.
Preszcator explained that
$1,900 of the current donation
had been raised at the Radio-
thon Breakfast. The remain-
der was from the various fun-
draising events that the
Kinsmen held throughout the
year. There are not specific
events to raise funds for the
CPH Foundation, rather there
is an amount budgeted each
year to donate out of the total
funds raised.
Kick -Start your motorcycle season

The 075 Huron Chapter of Canadian
Motorcycle Cruisers (CMC) invites all who
wish to attend to a free Group Ride Safety
Course. The course will be offered April 30
from 1-3 p.m. at Goderich District Colle-
giate Institute, Room B2. Refreshments will
be available.
First Officer of the Huron Chapter of
CMC, Bob Rosphart, explains most motor-
cycle courses teach you how to ride safely
on your own. This course teaches how to
ride in a group. "There are a lot of hand and
foot signals to let others in the group know
what is ahead. The lead and last bike need
to know what is ahead of and behind the
group and the centre bike should be in con-
tact with both the front and back"
CMC has 6,000 members nationally.
They are a not-for-profit group which
means that there are no fees or dues and
they generate no revenue. They are family
oriented, advocate road safety and have a
zero alcohol tolerance on all CMC sanc-
tioned rides. All funds that they do raise
throughout the year are donated to Chil-
dren's Wish Foundation.
Members of 075 Huron Chapter include
people from Seaforth, Clinton, Auburn,
Londesborough, Lucknow, Zurich, Hensall
and Goderich. The average age of members
is 40 years and over, but younger people are
most welcome to join.
Rosphart stated the motivation for host-
ing the Group Ride Safety Course was the
escalation of motorcycle -related fatalities in
the past year. "We want to get people
informed so they can enjoy the ride and get
home safe."

Canadian Motorcycle Cruisers or the
Group Ride Safety Course contact Bob
