byterian Church, Bayfield, for
the past two year's, has accept-
ed a call to Knox Presbyterian
Church, Kintore, Knox Presby-
terian Church, New Glasgow,
and 'St. John's Presbyterian
Church, Rodney, in Elgin Coun-
ty.
The Presbyterial o£ Huron -
Maitland approved the call at
a meeting held in St. Andrew's
Presbyterian Church, Clinton, on
Monday. Induction services will
be held in Rodney on January
2nd.
Rev. MacDonald will preach
his farewell services on Sunday,
Dec. 39. 'Mrs. MacDonald was
leader of the CGIT and Girls'
Work and secretary for the W.
M. S. of Huron. Mr. and Mrs.
MacDonald and family, Ruth
Anne and David Allan, came to
Hensall from Springhill, Nova
Scotia.
Wins Christmas Prize
Shirley Smale, nine-year-old
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. How-
ard Smale, was the winner of
the }Honey doll in a draw at
Bert's Snack Bar on Saturday
evening. The winning ticket
was drawn by Councillor John
Baker. The doll, covered with
20 one -dollar bills, was a project
of the Hensall Legion Auxiliary,
and was convened by Mrs. E.
R. Davis.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Dodds, Mr.
and Mrs. William Dodds and
Mrs. Lorne Webster, of Sea -
forth, and Mr. and Mrs. -Fred
MacGregor, of Brucefield, en-
joyed Christmas dinner with
Mr. and Sim Roobal on Satur-
day.
Girl Guides Have Party '
The First Hensall Girl Guides
enjoyed their annual Christmas
party at the home of Miss Jan-
ice Bonthron on Tuesday eve-
ning. Dancing and games were
a feature of the recreation per-
iod, and fallowing lunch gifts
were handed out by Captain
Mrs. Jim Hyde and Lieut. Kathie
Mann, Patricia Parke, Brenda
Noakes, Betty Cameron, Cheryl
Mousseau, Linda Keyes and Lin-
da Lowery, who are trying for
their hostess badges, planned
the entire party.
At the conclusion of choir
practice of St. Paul's Anglican
Church Thursday evening, Mr.
Harry Page, of Exeter, was pre-
sented with a gift in apprecia-
tion of his services in helping
to organize the new choir. Pres-
entation was made by Clark For-
rest. Lunch was served.
Miss Elvera Churchill, of To-
ronto, was a guest this week
with her sister, Mrs. Pearl ,Shad -
dick, and nephew Bill.

enjoyed some lovely carol sing-
ing by Mrs. Godbolt's class of
James Street United Church,
Exeter, who presented their
program Sunday afternoon.
Members of the Sunday School
of the Pentecostal Church, Exe-
ter, of which Mrs. Shirley Prou-
ty is the teacher, gave their con-
cert Saturday afternoon.
Mr. George Smale, who un-
derwent surgery at St. Joseph's
Hospital, London, last week, is
improving nicely.
Douglas Eckel, little son of.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Eckel, had
his tonsils removed at South
Huron Hospital, Exeter, on
Thursday.
Mr. and Mrs. Blighton Ferg
will spend Christmas Day with
the latter's mother, 'Mrs, Mabel
Baillie, at Atwood. The Christ-
mas celebration, attended by 50
members of Mrs. Baillie's fam-
ily, including grandchildren and
great - grandchildren, will be
held in the parish hall of the
Anglican Church in Atwood.

and Kenneth are spending
Christmas in Florida. •

Word has been received of
the passing of Mrs. R. W. Craw,
who spent her remaining days
with her daughter, Mrs. John
Cunningham, of Norwich. Mrs.
Craw was the widow of the late
Rev. R. W. Craw, who was the
minister of the McKillop eharge
for a number of years. She was
a very talented woman and was
editor of the magazine, 'White
Ribbons." Many friends will re-
gret to learn of her passing.
