ROBINSON—FORBES
Egmondville United Church
was the setting on Friday when
Miss Marlene Joanne Forbes
became the bride of Clarence
Edward John Robinson. Rev.
J. A. Vardy officiated. The
bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Adin Forbes of Eg-
monville, and the groom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. John Rob-
inson, Collingwood.
The bride was given in mar-
riage by her father. She chose
a street -length costume of white
peau de faille with fitted bodice,
shallow square neckline and
three-quarter length sleeves.
The sheath skirt featured a
full flowing bouffant overskirt,
accented at the hemline with
a large fabric rose. The shoul-
der -tip veil of nylon illusion was
held in place by a large fabric
rose, and she carried a bouquet
of red roses, stephanotis and
ivy.
Miss Georgina Hogg, cousin
of the bride, was maid of hon-
or. Her gown of red peau de
faille was styled similarly to
the bride's gown, and she car-
ried white carnations, stephan-
otis and ivy. '
Brother of the groom, Mr.
Donald Robinson of Kitchener
was best man.
For a wedding trip to Ot-
tawa and the United States the
bride donned a brown double-
knit wool suit with beige acces-
sories and orchid corsage. The
couple will reside at 22 Maple
Street, Collingwood.
Guests attended from Col-
lingwood, London, Kitchener
and Seaforth.

David T. Scott, son of Mr.
and Mrs. T. L. Scott, of Crom-
arty, has taken up residence in
Knox College, Toronto. He is
entering his first year course in
Engineering Science at the Uni-
versity of Toronto. David gra-
duated from the Mitchell Dis-
trict High School with an aver-
age of 80 per cent in eight sub-
jects, which entitled him to re-
ceive a Dominion -Provincial bur-
sary. He has been active in
calf clubs, grain clubs and the
.4-11 Electrical Club. He was al-
so active in Young Peoples,
Sunday School and choir work
in Cromarty Church.
Evening Auxiliary Meets
The September meeting of
the Marion Ritchie Evening Aux-
iliary was held in the church
with Mrs. John Templeman pre-
siding and leading in prayer.
The Scripture lesson was read
by Mrs. Gordon Scott. The roll
call was answered by naming a
Presbyterian missionary. Mrs.
Frank Hamilton read the Bible
story of Mary and Martha.
"Teenagers and Their Prob-
lems" was the title of a read-
ing given by Mrs. Calder Me-
Kaig, who also read a letter
from Mrs. Denton Taylor, thank-
ing the auxiliaries of Seaforth,
Mitchell, Exeter and Cromarty
for the gift of $51.00, which
was the offering received at the
joint meeting in August, when
Mrs. Taylor was guest speaker.
It was donated to the building
fund of the new Ewart College.
Mrs. Gordon Laing gave as
her topic the life story of Miss
Jane Scott. Plans were made
for the thankoffering meeting
in October and the bazaar in
November. Knitted articles for
relief work were received. The
meeting closed with the Lord's
Prayer ih unison. "A delicious
lunch was served.

OBITUARIES
MRS. JOHN R. LEEMING
Funeral services were held
Thursday for Mrs. John R.
Leeming, who died September
16 in Scott Memorial Hospital.
She was in her 83rd year.
While Mrs. Leeming had not
been in good health for sev-
eral
everal years, it was only during
the past two months that her
condition caused concern.
A resident of McKillop Town-
-ahip all her life, she was the
former Mary Etta Murdie,
daughter of the late Michael
Murdie and Susan Green.
A member of Duffs United
Church, she,had been active in
the WMS and for many' years
had been a member of the choir.
Surviving are her husband,
to whom she was married in
1911, and two brothers, Ross of
Seaforth and William of Ottawa.
The body was at the Box Fun-
eral Home, Seaforth, where Rev.
Arthur Higginbotham of Walton
conducted the funeral service
Thursday at 2 p.m. During the
service Donald MacDonald of
Walton sang "Beyond the Sun-
set." Burial was in Maitland -
bank cemetery, Seaforth.
Pallbearers were Sam Pethick,
James MacDonald, William Roe,
William Boyd, Wilfred Dennis
and Austin Dolmage. Flower -
bearers were George .Wheatley,
James Keys, W. J. Leeming and
Leslie Dolmage.

the week and were present at
the twenty-fifth wedding anni-
versary of two of the former's
parishioners; Then on Sunday
he preached morning and eve-
ning at the Centennial serv-
ices of St. Andrew's Presbyter-
ian Church, Napier, in Sarnia
Presbytery, which he had serv-
ed 50 years ago. They also vis-
ited friends at Curries, Ker -
wood, Watford and Grand Bend.
