Winter Wheat Club
A South Huron 4-H Talbot
Winter Wheat Club will be
sponsored by the Huron County
Soil and Crop Improvement As-
sociation. Seed supplies are
limited, therefore, because we
expect that many will be in-
terested in growing Talbot, the
club will be limited to the first
20 young people of 4-H age
making application to the agri-
cultural office at Clinton. The
project will consist of planting
one acre of the promising new
strong strawed, high yielding,
smut resistant Talbot winter
wheat. Regular meetings will
be held to give instruction on
management- and records will
be kept on cost of production.
The organizational meeting
will be held at 8:30 p.m. on
Tuesday, Sept. 3, at the agricul-
tural office in Clinton, and ar-
rangements will be niade to dis-
tribute seed at that time.
"Will you really marry me?"
the trembling youth exclaimed,
as if unable to realize his good
fortune. Then — "When we're
married, darling, the dark
clouds will roll away and the
blue sky . ."
"Just put the ring on my fin-
ger," suggested the practical -
minded girl, "and you can for-
get about the weather report!"
