ALFRED JAMES HUNKIN
Funeral services for the late
Alfred James Hunkin, 73, who
passed away Saturday, Aug. 17,
at his home in Exeter, were
held Tuesday from the Hopper -
Hockey funeral home, Exeter,
with burial in Exeter cemetery.
A retired Usborne Township
farmer, he is survived by his
wife, the former Margaret Mc-
Laren; one son, Wilfred, Us -
borne Township; two daugh-
ters, (Evelyn) Mrs; Alex Mc -
Beath, (Eleanor) Mrs. Hugh
Hendrick, both of Kippen, and
one sister, Mrs. John Selves,
Usborne Township.

July 2 and expects to return,
home on August 29. Danny, who
is 14, made the trip alone by
train, and so far had visited
many wonderful places, includ-
ing Disneyland.
Miss Patricia Schwalm is at-
tending Kintail Camp, north of
Goderich, for 10 days, having
been chosen one of the lead-
ers to look after nine to 11
year group of girls.

vacationing with his grandpar-
ents, Mr, and Mrs. Samuel
Oesch.
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Schwalm
and family have returned from
a week's vacation at Port Ar-
thur and Fort William.
Landmark Torn Down
The temporary home oft many
a Bess and Dobin and of the
Hensall spring fair in the yes-
teryears, the hotel barn at the
rear, of the New Commercial
Hotel has been torn down to
make room to park the Fords
and Chevies of today. The build-
ing was erected in 1911.
