Return From Eastern Trip Mr. and Mrs. Laird "Mickle, Bob and Ann have ,returned from a motor trip through the Eastern Provinces of Canada. They left home almost a month ago and drove do n• into Que- bec around the Gape Peninsula and on into New Brunswick, over to Prince Edward Island, back to Nova Scotia and up through Cape Breton Island. From there they crossed over to Newfoundland and drove right across the province to St. John's, where they spent fourdays. On returning to the manland they drove around the Cabot 'Trail on Cape Bre- ton Island. From there they went to Halifax and back up through the centrad and west- ern parts of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, crossing over into Quebec where they went on conducted tours of Quebec City and Montreal. To Play Here George Wonch, musical direc- tor of the Clinton Community Concert Marching Band, said Thursday that the Band will.be in Seaforth for the official op- ening of Huard Service Station next Friday evening. Robert Elford Carpenter, 24, and Dennis°Leroy Mitchell, 22, of .London were arrested at Hensall on Friday and charged by provincial police with pos- sessing safe -cracking tools. They appeared before Justice of the Peace, Mrs. Olive Sturdy,, in Goderich and were remanded to July 18. of the Clinton Band is being made as a thank -you note for Bob Huard, who was their drum major and disciplinarian for the past two years. -Bob has left the band now to establish himself in Seaforth with his family.
