Win First Game
Seaforth Intermediates suffer-
ed an 8-0 pasting by Belgrave
behind the four -hit pitching of
Jim Coultes last' Saturday in a-
WOAA Intermediate game at
Belgrave.
Seaforth managed only four
hits as Coultes racked up 19
strikeouts to render the visitors
almost powerless at the plate.
Belgrave totalled only, seven
hits, but combined those with
eight Seaforth errors for the
one-sided victory.

Peewee baseball teams were
drawn up Monday night. Ban-
tams will not enter a team be-
cause a coach could not be
found. Boys of bantam age are
eligible to try out for the mid-
gets.
Boys interested ..in playing
baseball should register with
John Patterson at Rowcliffe
Motors.
Midgets will practise June 10
and the peewees will ,practice
June 12 at 7 p.m. at Recrea-
tion Park.
A softball and baseball um-
pire's school will be held Sun-
day, June 9, at 2 p.m., at Lis-
towel Park and Arena. Registra-
tion time is.1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.,
according to Mr. Patterson.

Lueknow with 14 strikeouts, and
two hits, including a roundtrip-
per, which batted in three runs.

United Church Saturday, June 1.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon McGon-
igle, of Seaforth, and the groom
is the son of Mrs. Anne Hen-
derson, Seaforth, and the late
Chester Henderson. Rev. J. H.
Vardy officiated at the cere-
mony. White lilacs, ferns
and candelabra decorated the
church.
The bride wore a floor -length
gown of sheer organza over
petal pink taffeta. The fitted
bodice was styled with Illy point
sleeves and a scoop neckline
with appliques of chantilly lace
sprinkled with pearls. The
bouffant skirt swept to a brush
train. A French illusion veil
was held in place by a head-
dress of braided mohair and
pearls, centred with pink• roll-
ed silk petals. _ She carried a
white Bible embossed with
white roses. •
Miss Sandra McGonigle, of
Kitchener, was the maid of hon-
or, and the bridesmaid was Mrs.
Bob McG•nigle. The brides-
maid and maid of honor wore
identical dresses of blue taf-
feta with net overskirt, match-
ing accessories, and carried bas-
kets of white daisies set in blue
tulle.
The bride was given away by
her father, Mr. Gordon McGon-
igle. Mr. Stewart Henderson, of
Mitchell, was the groomsman.
Guests film Aurora, London,
Preston, Brantford, Mitchell,
Gravenhurst and Tillsonburg
were ushered by Gordon Pull-
man, of Seaforth, and Robert
McGonigle, of London.
Soloist Ken Willis was ac-
companied by Lyle Hammond
on the organ. Mr. Willis sang
"The Wedding Prayer" and "Be-
cause." . A

Mr. and Mrs. Henderson will
honeymoon on the East Coast.
For her travelling costume
the bride wore a blue brocaded
sheath with matching overskirt
and white accessories.
HEMINGWAY-GLANVILLE
Winthrop United Church was
the scene of a pretty wedding
on Saturday, June 1, at 3 p.m.,
when Bernice Isabel Glanville
became the bride of Donlyn
Carl . Hemingway. Rev. J. C.
Britton" officiated at the double=
ring ceremony. The bride is
the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Fred Glanville, Walton, and the
groom is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Carl Hemingway, of Brus-
sels.
Miss Jean Hillen was organ-
ist and accompanied the solo-
ist, Mr. Ken Kay, when he sang
"The Lord is My Shepherd" and
"The Wedding Prayer."
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride chose a white
peau de soie floor -length, gown,
fashioned with a'fitted bodice,
long lilypoint sleeves and scoop
neckline. Her fingertip veil was
held in place by a pearl tiara.
She /carried a bouquet of gar-
denias and stephanotis.
The bride was attended by
Miss Fern Lichti, of Niagara
Falls, as maid of honor, and
Miss Mary Cressman, Niagara
Falls, and Miss Leona Glen.

length dresses of white peau
de soie with chantilly lace -cov-
ered bodice. They wore bl
headpieces ' with gloves to
match. White gardenias nest-
led in blue tulle, completed
their ensembles.

Glanville, wore a blue dress
fashioned similar to the maid
of honor, with white accessor-

gay of white gardenias.
David Hemingway, brother of
the groom, was groomsman, and
the guests were ushered by
F,tanley Glanville, brother of
the bride, and Ross Heming-
way, brother of the groom. The
bride's brother, Percy Glanville,
was ringbearer.
For a reception following the
ceremony in the church par-
lors, the bride's mother receiv-
ed in a blue organza dress with
pink accessories. The mother
of the groom chose a beige
nylon over taffeta with beige
accessories. Corsages of gar-
denias completed their ensem-
bles..
For a wedding trip to North-
ern Ontario the bride travelled
in a pink three-piece linen suit
with white accessories and a
corsage of white gardenias. On
their return Mr. and Mrs. Hem-
ingway will reside in Guelph.
Guests were present from
London, Detroit, • Rochester,
New York and Niagara Falls.
Scot Delegate
Visits. Huron
Miss Mary Steel, of Stafflar
Farm, Kilmarrock, Ayrshire,
Scotland, a delegate represent-
ing the Scottish Association of
Young Farmers' Clubs, is visit-
ing Huron County for the per-
iod of June 3-14. At present
she is the guest of Mr. and
Mrs. Harry Jaques and their
daughter, Shirley, of Usborne
Township. She will also spend
a few days at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Allan MacTaggart, of\
Brussels.
While here, Miss Steel will
attend Junior Farmer activities
and observe farming practices
of this area.
