Charles Ahrens were her sis-
ters, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Carl-
ton, of Wilson, N.Y.; Mrs,
Marie Ryan, of Niagara Falls,
Ont.; Mrs. John G. Hinz, of
Guelph; Mrs. Barbara McLeod,
of London, and Mrs. Ernest El-
ligsen, and all visited their
brother, George Wesenberg, at
Brussels, on the occasion of his
birthday.
Clayton and Robert Ahrens
sons of Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred
Ahrens, are home on holidays
from Waterloo Universitv Col-
lege, and visited Mr, and Mrs.
Dona d Ahrens, Hamilton, last
Mond y-. Clayton has gone to
Camp Borden for the summer,
whereLtte taking an army of-
ficer's cadet training course.
The wedding dinner and re
ception for Mr. and Mrs. Geo.
Schutt (Dorothy Hinz), of Mit-
chell, was held at the Com,
munity Hall here on Saturday.
A large crowd attended the
dance at the Community Hall
on Friday evening, with CKNX

Connie Faye Moore, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. John Moore,
was baptized during the Sun-
day morning service by Pastor
Brill. The sponsors along with
the parents were Mr, and Mrs.
Ronald Beuerman; also Earl
Gordon Wurdell, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Gordon Wurdell was bap-
tized with Miss Doris Tully and
Raymond Phoenex, of London,
the sponors, along with the par-
ents. An inspiring Mother's Day
sermon was presented by Pas-
tor Brill at St. Peter's Lutheran
Church on Sunday. The two
beautiful bouquets of flowers
on the .altar were from., they

turned to her home here after
spending the past two months
with her grandmother, Mrs. Ed.

Rode is spending this week

Rev. Harold Brill will be
away for a six weeks' course
in Clinical Pastor Training at
McMaster University, Hamil-
ton. This course is offered at
several hospitals in Hamilton
and is designed to provide
training in ministering to the
sick, whether at home or in the
hospital. During his absence,

FRIENDSHIP CIRCLE MEETS
Mrs. W. R. Smith was hostess
for the May meeting of First
Presbyterian Church Friendship
Circle on Monday evening. Mrs.
Don Morton and Mrs. Glen
Chesney conducted a very suc-
cessful auction sale. Plans were
made for a bake sale. The Nene
meeting will be in the form of
a barbecue, to be held at Bay-
field.
