FIRESIDE GROUP
Mrs. Gordon Beuttenmiller
presided over the May meeting
of the Fireside Fellowship
Group, which was held at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. L. R.
McDonald. The meeting open-
ed by repeating the Lord's
Prayer in unison, after which
the president read a poem, en-
titled, "It Must Be Spring." A
number of items of business
were discussed. Mrs. F. Kling
outlined the plans for "open
house" at the manse. Miss
Bess Grieve read the King's
prayer from II Kings, chapter
19, verses 14-19.
The next meeting will be a
pot -luck supper, to be held at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. F.
Kling at Bayfield. Rev. D. 0.
Fry closed this part of the meet-
ing with prayer.
Mrs. John A. Cardno intro-
duced Rev. H. Donaldson, the
guest speaker, who showed
slides of Chili, in South Ameri-
ca, where he and Mrs. Donald-
son spent 12 years. They show-
ed the modern and the not -so -
modern Ways of life. F. Kling
thanked Rev. Donaldson, and
Miss. Alice Reid expressed the
appreciation of the gRpup to
Mr. and Mrs. McDonald for
their hospitality. There were
20 present.
