Accountant Goes
To Tillsonburg
A. R. G. McCourt, who has
been accountant at the Cana-
dian Imperial Bank of Com-
merce here for 41,4z years, has
been promoted to accountant
at the Tijlsonburg branch of the
bank. He will leave at the end
of the month.
Succeeding him in Seaforth
will be Li J. Boudreau, Niagara
Falls.

ters have returned from a visit
with her parents in Holland.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald McKay
and son, Raymond, have left
for their home in Calgary, Alta.,
after having spent a three-week

A farewell party was given
by neighbors and friends on
Friday evening at Staffs Hall,
honoring Mr. and Mrs. Ernest
Ross and family, of RR 2, Kip -
pen, who very shortly will be
leaving the district to reside in
Exeter.
Several tables of euchre were
in play. Winners were: ladies'
high, Mrs. A. Ross; ladies' low,
Mrs. Theo Hauwert; men's
high, D. McDonald; men's low,
Orville Cooper.
The address was read by Or-
ville Cooper and' gifts present-
ed by Bruce Armstrong, Lloyd
Cooper, Alex Miller and Jack
Consitt. They received a coffee
table, a magazine rack, and
Elaine was presented with a
cup and saucer, and Gordon, a
set of cuff links and a tie -clip.
"Thunder will boom," shout-
ed a minister as he described
the Day of Judgment. "Light-
ning will strike! Rivers will ov-
erow! Flames will shoot down
from the Heavens! There will
be storms, floods, earthquakes!"
A little girl in the congrega-
tion looked up eagerly at her
parent. "Mummy," she whisper-
ed, "will I get let off school?"

are on a holiday trip to Mexico

Mrs. Bert Thomson was ad-
mitted to St. Joseph's Hospital,
London, on Friday in the in-
terests of her health.

recently visited Mr. and Mrs.
Bert Thomson to celebrate the
wedding anniversary of Mr, and
Mrs. Sam Storey. The table was

and white. The couple received
a large bouquet of red roses,

steel cookware and a bouquet
of artificial flowers.

The babies are the first
grandchildren for Mr. and Mrs.
Pearson Charters and also for
Mr. and Mrs. Alex McGregor,
and the first great-grandchil-
dren for Mrs. John McGregor,
Seaforth.
The babies were born the day
following the twin mothers'
own birthday on April 4, when
they were also born in Scott
Memorial Hospital, Seaforth.
Babies and mothers are all do-
ing well.
