This Week At the Seat Db ict High School
(By GISELA DORRANCE)
Well, exams are over. Oh, my
aching back and writer's cramp!
That week of agony, of scram-
bled nerves, of regular two -and -
a -half-hour stretches of being
scrunched over a desk, urging
the pen to greater speeds, keep-
ing one eye on the question
paper, one eye on the answer
paper, and one eye on the
clock -oh, forget it! I'm prob-
ably reviving old memories.

The boys, who were on the
road again, didn't fare quite so
well. The seniors brought home
their victory, 48-33, but the
juniors lost 58-19. The senior
marksmen were Patterson 16,
Akker 12, McKercher 8, Wil-
liamson 7, Rowat 2, and Schnei-
der 1. The strong man for
Wingham was Strong, of course
(excuse the wretched pun, but
I've been reading Shakespeare),
with 11 points. The junior scor-
ers were Smith 8, Cardno 2,
Wright, 2, Jessome 2, Newham
2, Hassen 1, Scott 1, and Etue 1.
Bismayer wrapped up 23 points
for Wingham. On the report on
the senior game, I find the cryp-
tic notice: "No evictions' for
fouls." Is that unusual? (A
note on critical comments:
These comments do not origin-
ate from me, because ..I don't
see enough of the games to be
capable of commenting critical-
ly. I just faithfully write. down
what I am told).

Now all these facts may seem
very dry and dull, and perhaps
you think 'I should have made
up interesting stories to go
with them, but don't despise
them. I got them over the
phone, risking life and limb,
because my father happened to
want to use the phone, too.
You had better mark Febru-
