HURON COUNTY COUNCIL HAS
20% CHANGE IN MEMBERSHIP
Huron county council has un-
dergone a 20 per cent change-
over for 1963; seven of its 35
seats will be occiipied by new
members. Also there remains
one election in McKillop, where
nominations will be held Dec.
28. Reeve Dan Beuerman, 15
years in council, will be nom-
inated, but whether or not he
will be opposed is not known.
No more will Harvey Cole-
man's cigar smoke rise from an
end pew to right of the war -

Annual Concerts,
Welcome Santa
Santa Claus arrived at SS No.
9; McKillop, Friday evening for
the annual school Christnias
concert. Teacher at the school
is Mrs. Jim Smith. Mrs, Lavern
Godkin was the accompanist for
the evening.
The program included: Open-
ing Chorus, School; Welcome,
Nancy McNichol; "A Christmas
Wish," four boys; recitation,
Dianne Dennis; piano number,
Jean and Betty Roe; "Tea Par-
ty," for girls; dialogue, "A
Successful Elopement"; musi-
cal number, Boy and Three
Goats; paino number, Joyce Mc-
Nichol; dialogue, "Mrs. Hooli-
gan's New Spring Hat"; read-
ing, Francis Beuerman; piano
number, Starr Fischer; Hat
Parade; dialogue, "Doing With-
out. Christmas"; piano number,
Marfinn Wildfcmg; chorus by,
school, '.`This Old House"; The
Twist; Christmas numbers and
carols; closing choruses, "Mer-
ry Christmas" and "Closing
Chorus" and "God Save the
Queen," after which Santa
Claus arrived.

did not seek re-election, and
Brussels will be represented by
Calvin Krauter. Reeve Scott
Fairservice removed from Blyth

Eastern United States, the bride'
travelled in a charcoal suit
with black and white accessor-
ies and a corsage of red carna-
tions. On their return they will
reside in London
Guests were present from
Sault Ste, Marie, St. Catharines,
London, Denfield, Granton, St.
Marys, Wingham, Clinton, Sea -
forth and Blyth.
UNRAU—THOMPSON
In a setting of white lighted
tapers, white mums with red
poinsettia, wedding vows were
exchanged Saturday, Dec. 22,
at 2:30 p.m. in the Ontario
Street United Church, Clinton,
by Patricia Kathleen Thompson,
Guelph, and David George Un-
rau, Lafayette. Indiana. The
Rev. Ivor Bodenham, Park Bap-
tist Church, London, officiated
at the double -ring ceremony.
The bride is a daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. T. R. Thompson, On-
tario St., Clinton, and the
groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs.
David Unrau, Kingsville.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride chose a gown
of frosted miremist, styled on
asymmetric lines. The skirt,
which swept in folds to the side,
was caught with appliques of
hand run Alencon lace jewel-
led in crystal and seed pearls,
with the back falling into a
chapel train. Her fingertip veil
of French silk illusion was held
by a contoured hand of sprays
of pearls and rhinestones, and
she carried a crescent bouquet
of gardenias with' stephonitis
and holly.
Street -length gowns of forest
green peau de soie sheaths,
with petal overskirts, with
poinsettia styled headdresses
with matching veils, were chos-
en by the • bride's three sisters
who attended her. They were
Miss Sharon Thompson, Kit-
chener, maid of honor, and
Mrs. D. A. Reynolds and Mrs.
Ewart Cornish, Clinton, as
bridesmaids. They carried cres-
cent-shaped bouquets of white
mums trimmed with holly. Miss
Cindy Rennie, daughter of Dr.
and Mrs. J. C. Rennie, Guelph,
as flower girl, wore white peau
de soie dress with green petal
overskirt, green poinsettia
headdress, and she carried a
basket of white mums, red ros-
es and holly.
Edward Tigchelaar, Lafay-
ette, Ind., was groomsman, and
ushering the guests were Ron-
ald Unrau, Kingsville, brother
of the groom, and Fred Theak-
er, Guelph.
For the reception which fol-
lowed in the • New Christian Ed-
ucation wing of the church,
guests were received by the
bride's mother, who received
wearing a green silk linen en-
semble, matching flowered hat,
matching accessories and a cor-
sage of yellow roses. She was
assisted. by the groom's mother,
who wore a brown printed silk
ensemble, with matching acces-
sories and a corsage of pink
roses.

was accompanied by the church

Clinton.
For a wedding trip the bride

On their return the young
couple will reside at Lafayette,
Ind., where the groom, a gra-
duate of O.A.C., Guelph, is con-
tinuing his studies at Purdue
University. The bride until her
marriage was a membdr of the
secretarial staff of the Animal
Husbandry Department, 0.A.C.,
Guelph.
Guests attended the wedding
from Seaforth, Clinton, Gode-
rich, Caledonia, Brussels, Exe-
ter, Detroit, Mich., London,
Guelph, North Bay, Ottawa, To-
ronto and Kingsville.
