be offered to each purchaser of
an electric clothes dryer from
a participating dealer in' the
Seaforth area during the Sun-
shine Special campaign, Nov. 3
to Dec. 15. The province -wide
promotion of electric clothes
dryers is being supported joint-
ly by manufacturers, appliance
dealers and electrical utilities.

play during the campaign per-

PROVIDES FUNDS ,FOR UNICEF
Monday evening, in the base-
ment of Constance Church, the
CGIT girls with their leader,
Mrs. Reg Lawson, and invited
girls dressed in costume, as-
sembled to- enjoy an evening
of fun in the form of a Hal-
lowe'en masquerade party, with
collection helping the UNICEF
Fund.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Riley
judged the costumes, with first
prize comic going to Glenyce
Jewitt; second, Mary, Mcllwain;
best Hallowe'en dress, Mary
Buchanan and Nancy Buchanan;
different countries, Marjorie
Whyte and Rita McMichael;
youngest girl in costume, Joan
Preszcator; spot number, Judy
Thompson; oldest girl in cos-
tume, Mary and Margaret Mac-
Gregor.
The program consisted of
contests and games, convened
by Janice Jewitt and Mary
Buchanan. Lunch was conven-
ed by Glenyce Jewitt and Mary
MacGregor, which was enjoyed
by all.
A vote of thanks was express-
ed to the judges and to all who
made a wonderful evening. A
collection was taken with bene-
fit for UNICEF Fund.

are having a church parade to
Constance United Church at 3
o'clock, with Rev. H. Funge,
minister in charge. All mem-
bers are requested to meet at
the Hall prior to church serv-
ice.
Hold Thankoffering Meeting
Mrs. W. L. Whyte, president
of Constance UCW, opened the
fall thankoffering meeting with
words of thanksgiving to ladies
from Northside United Church,
Seaforth, and ladies of McKil-
lop Presbyterian. Hymn 306
was sung. Mrs. Don Buchanan
read Psalm 46 as the' scripture
lesson, followed with prayer
by Mrs. Reg. Lawson. A solo;
was sung by Mrs. David Living-
ston, "Sunrise Tomorrow," ac-
companied by Mrs. Wm. Jewitt.
The collection was taken by
Mrs. Earl Nott ' and "Mrs. Ken
Preszcator.
Mrs. MacGregor introduced
Mrs. J. Thompson, of Seaforth,
who was guest speaker. Mrs.
Thompson spoke on "Short
Sayings," such as: "Fear not",
"faint not", "fret not" and "for-
get not," and quoted scripture
to outline each short saying,
and with short poems and story
summed up with God as our
creator, the giver of every good
and loving gift.
A reading was given by Mrs.
Don Buchanan, "Do Not Judge
Too Hard." Mrs. B. Brown
thanked the speaker and all
who had helped in any way to
make a successful meeting. A
hymn was sung and the Miz-
pah benediction closed the
meeting, afterwhich everyone
enjoyed a social half-hour ov-
er the tea cups.
Mrs" N. Bell, on behalf of
all the ladies, thanked the
Constance ladies for the pleas-
ant afternoon.

opening services of Blyth Unit-
ed Church on Sunday and also
visited with Mr. and Mrs. John
Sander'son, of Blyth.
