Construction of a new ready
mix concrete plant at the F.
Kling Ltd. pits in McKillop has
provided an increased service
in the Seaforth district, accord-
ing to Ed. McCormick, of Hur-
on Concret Supply Ltd. The
plant is associated with the
Huron Concrete plant, Goderich.
Mr. McCormick said a rigid
system of checks ensures that
concrete to exact specifications
is provided.
"Every stage is controlled and
in this way we can provide con-
crete of the type and strength
ordered,". he said, and added,
Huron Concrete Ltd. personnel
were trained in the production
of all type of concrete.
There is an increasing de-
mand for ready mixed concrete,
particularly in the farm field,
because' of the—Convenience it
provides, and the saving in
labor that resalts, Mr. McCor-
mick said.
The new plant has been busy
since it began operations. Big-
gest order is 2,250 yards of
concrete for the new dam at
Mitchell, being built by Looby
Construction Ltd., of Dublin.
Other recent jobs include a new
building for Boyes Farm Supply
and a culvert for McKillop
Township.
Manager of the plant is Allan
Clemo, who is moving to Sea
forth shortly. Area operations
are in charge of Ed. McCormick.
