At Toronto Ex
William Dale, RR 1, Clinton,
was the only Guernsey. breeder
to have two animals in the
"Aisle of Champions" at the
C.N.E., Toronto, this week. The
two Dalevista herd sires, "Dale -
vista N. Peerless" and "Dale -
vista Brigadiers Sparkler", won
the Reserve Junior Champion-
ship and Reserve Senior Cham-
pionship ribbons and were
among the eight champion
Guernseys which remained at
the C.N.E. this week on display.
The remainder of the cattle left
the fair last Friday. Mr. Dale
also won third for junior heifer
and fourth for senior heifer.
Another outstanding win Was
on
"Dalevista • Golden Glow,"
who placed fifth in the strongly
contested dry -cow class. "Glow"
is_ the clam of "Sparkler" bull
and grand dam of the heifer
calves. On R.O.P. she also has a
B.C.A. of 148 for milk and 138
for fat.
Altogether the herd won 10
ribbons on the nine cattle which
were exhibited. Thirty-six oth=
er Guernsey breeders had en-
tries at the C.N.E.
Mr. Laurence Taylor return-
ed -home after spending a cou-
ple ,,iof weeks in Missouri and
Michigan States, and while in
St.. Louis, Laurence enjoyed
meetings and sight-seeing be-
hind the scenes of Business and
Manufacturing Buildings and
hospitals, and here Laurence
was able to watch an entire op-
eration. In Michigan, he enjoy-
ed" at Leadership Camp, lectur-
ers on different fields of busi-
ness. This educational trip and
high honor was won by Laur-
ence during his year's course
at OAC, Guelph,
Mr. and 'Mrs. Frank Riley re-
turned home after spending the
past week with their daughter
and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
Robert Woods and family, of

Friends and neighbors were
sorry to learn that last Satur-
day evening Miss Rachel Mac-
Kenzie was taken to Scott Mem-
orial Hospital by ambulance.
Her condition is much improv-
ed at .time of writing.
