James Bernard Eckert exchang-
ed wedding vows in St. Joseph's
Roman Catholic Church, Strat=
ford. Rev. J. L. O'Rourke offici-
ated at the ceremony in a set-
ting of white gladioli and pink
carnations: The bride is the
daughter of Mr -and Mrs. Leon-
ard McCann, 133 Rebecca St,
Stratford,, and the bridegroom,
who lives in Kitchener, is the
son of Mrs. John Anthony Eck-
ert, RR 1, Dublin, and the late
Mr. Eckert.
"Ave Maria" and "Immacu-
late Heart of Mary" were sung
by Keith Kelly, Kitchener, with
organ accompaniment played by
Miss Lucille Bousseau.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride chose a nylon
gown with lace inserts over
organza. The dress featured a
jeweled lace neckline and slight
train. Her shoulder -length veil
was held in place with a jewel-
ed tiara, and she carried a cas-
cade bouquet of red Better
Times roses with stephanotis.

the bride, as maid of honor, was
gowned in a street -length dress
of hot -pink silk, organza. The
dress featured pleated inserts
at thefront and a matching'
pleated cummerbund with bow
trim. Her headpiece was of
matching pink silk petals with
pearl trim, 'rand she carried a
cascade bouquet of white carna-
tions and blue -tinted Pinocchio
pom-pon chrysanthemums.
Bridesmaid was Miss Kather-
ine McCann, the bride's sister,
gowned in limegreen nylon ov-
er taffeta, fashioned with puff-
ed sleeves and full skirt, com-
plemented with a large bow at
the waist. She wore a matching
flowered headpiece and carried
a cascade bouquet of white car-
nations and pink -tinted Pin-
occhio chrysanthemums.
Susan McCann, bride's sister,
was flowergirl, dressed in white
flowered nylon over taffeta. The
full skirt was fashioned with
scalloped panels, and she wore
a matchir.g flower, headpiece:
She carried a basket of pastel
flowers.
Best man was Jerry Eckert,
Owen Sound, and ushers were
Michael Eckert, Dublin, and
Charles McCain, bride's broth -
A dinner was held at the Tall
T Steak House, where the
bride's mother. received guests
in a moss green lace sheath
dress with matching jacket and
hat. She wore beige accessor-
ies and a corsage of pink Sen-
sation roses. She was assisted
by the bridegroom's mother;
wearing a champagne - beige
sheath dress with matching
jacket and accessories, and a
corsage of yellow Lestra Hib-
bard roses.
For travelling 'on a honey.
moon in Southern Ontario, the
bride chose a royal blue lace
sheath dress, matching hat and
off-white accessories. The cou-
ple will reside at Kitchener.

PATRICK JOSEPH WOODS
At his residence, 54 Victoria
Street, London, on Monday,
August 20, 1962, after a lengthy
illness, Patrick Joseph Woods
passed peacefully away. The
body rested . at the John T.
Donahue Funeral Home until
Wednesday morning, August 22.
Since moving to London from
Dublin five and a half years
ago, he has been a member of
the staff at the head office of
Supertest Petroleum Limited.
He was a devoted member of
St. Michael's Roman Catholic
Church, Holy Name Society,
Sacred Heart League and Pro-
pagation of the Faith.
He is survived by his wife,
the former Ursula Moynaugh,
one son, Patrick, of George-
town; Rev. Sister Mary Kieran,
of St. Joseph's Community, Lon-
don; Mrs. Leo (Catherine) Ry-
an, Kitchener; Mrs. Wilfred
(Rose Mary) 'McQuaid, Seaforth,

the Rev. Father Durand.

The Select Committee appointed by the Legislative
Assembly of the Province of Ontario "... to enquire
into and review The Municipal Act of the Province and
related Acts, including The Assessment Act, The De-
partment of Municipal Affairs Act, the Local improve-
ment Act„The Ontario Municipal Board Act and The
Planning Act, and the regulations made thereunder, for
the purposes of modernizing, consolidating and simpli-
