Mrs. Ted Brown received
word that Mrs. Stan Osborne,
of London, had passed away
suddenly at her home in Lon-
don. On Wednesday Mrs.
Brown, Mrs. Jim Brown, Mrs.
Ken Chambers, of Wingham,
and Mrs. Doug Racho and lylrs.
Earl Elliott, both of Dublin, at-
tended the funeral from the A.

where a family gathering was

Moir arranged the turkey din-
ner, which. was .enjoyed by 45
friends and relatives, the table
being centered with a lovely
birthday cake.
Mr. and Mrs. Perce Phillips,
Toronto, are spending, a few
days with Mr. and Mrs. Fred
Beer.
Mr. and Mrs. Bert Horton
spent Monday in Detroit and
were accompanied home by
Miss Olive Coxworth, aunt of
Mrs. Horton, who will vacation
her for two weeks.
Friends of Miss Helen Payne,
of London, will be pleased to
hear that she has passed her
grade 13 examination at Cen-
tral Collegiate. Helen is a niece
of Mr. Carl Payne.
Mrs. William Harold Bell, of
Hensall, has accepted a posi-
tion on the staff of the Bell
Telephone here, and commenc-
d her duties on Monday.
Mrs. Robert Baker, Sr., who
has been in poor health for the
past few weeks, "was admitted to
Clinton Public Hospital Monday
of this week.,

spent last week in Detroit, vis-
iting with the latter's sisters.
Rev. and Mrs. P. A. Ferguson
of Montreal, formerly of Hen-

patient in Clinton Public Hos-
pital.
