our well-bred cow;

In these highly specialized
fields, experts probe the meth-
ods by which feed is •assimilat-
ed and processed by the ani-
mal into milk: .
This brings us to the ques-
tion of quality in' milk. The
higher the , proportion of milk
solids (proteins and fat) com-
pared 'with the amount of na-
tural water content, the better.

On Bus Trip
The annual Huron County 4-H
bus trip took place this rear
on Tuesday. July 17, and visit-
ed points of interest in the .Sinn
coe County area. During the
:morning several farms in the
Alliston area were visited and
i spine specialized crop enterpris-
es. such as tobacco, potatoes,
sod and vegetable crops were
seen being grown on a large
scale.
During the . afternoon, visits
were made to the Springwater
Provincial Park, and to the
Midhurst Forest Nursery Sta-
tion of the Ontario Department
I of Lands and Forests. The mem-
,bets were very interested in
the wild life and fish sanctuar-
ies at the Park, and also in the
Itree planting and nursery op-
erations at the Forest Station.
The day was completed with
supper at the Springwater Park.

leaders took part in the tour
