of the wedding on Saturday,
Ja1ly 14, at• 4:30 p.m., of Joalr
Elizabeth Habkirk, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. George E. Hab-
kirk, Ingersoll, and Louis Fred-
erick Yungblut, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Frederick Xungblut, of
Woodstock. Rev. Ralph R.
King, minister of the church,
giciated.
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, wore a street -
length dress of babyi•blue silk
organza over net and taffeta,
fashioned with a bouffant skirt,
shallo.w scoop neckline, short
sleeves ,and a cummberbund. It
was topped with a lace jacket
ofvmatching shade, buttoned
down the back with tiny but-
tons. A coronet of small blue
bows held her stiffened circular
veil of net, -and she carried a
nosegay of white gardenias,
stephanotis and trailing ivy.
Miss 'Carol Riley was her
bridesmaid, wearing blush pink
silk organza over net with coro-
net of pink bows, holding her
stiffened circular veil of net.
She carried a bouquet o(, white
carnations.
Earl Yungblut, Woodstock,
was groomsman for his brother,
and the ushers were Robert
Habkirk, brother of the bride,
and George Yungblut, brother
of the bridegroom. • b •
A reception followed on the
lawn of the bride's parents,
where a buffet luncheon was
served from a linen' -covered cen-
tral table, surrounded by small-
er tables arranged in circular
style. The bride's mother re-
ceived wearing a sheath dress
of lime green lace with match-
ing accessories and corsage of
yellow carnations. The bride-
groom's mother assisted in a.
dress of crepe printed in. tones
of •rust and brown, with brown
accessories, and corskg.e of yel-
low carnations.
For travelling, the bride
changed to a dress of beige
arnel with pleated skirt, which
she wore with blue accessories,
and a corsage of white gar-
denias. Following their wedding
trip to northern points in On-
tario, they will reside in Wood-
stock.
The bride was honored by
members of her office staff prior
to her wedding and was present-
ed with a comport set of gold
inlaid crystal. Mrs. Charles
Harris was hostess for •a mis-
cellaneous shower, also/in her

ely gifts.

dotted Swiss net over taffeta,
trimmed with aqua sashes, and
carried small crescents of aqua
tinted mums. Randy Alexander,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Ross Alex-
ander, Egmondville, was ring -
bearer.
The groomsman was Donald
O'Brien, Flint, Mich., and the
ushers were Beverley MacLean,
of Toronto, brother of the bride,
and Richard McFalls, of Exeter.
Traditional wedding music
was played by the organist, Miss
Agnes Bray, of Kirkton, and
Miss Dorothy Parker, 'of Hen -
sail, soloist, sang "The Wedding
Prayer" and "I'll Walk Beside
You."
For a reception in the church
parlors following the ceremony,
the bride's mother received,
wearing a peacock blue dress
of terylene batiste with white
accessories, and a corsage of
deep pink carnations. T h e
groom's mother chose a blue
linen sheath dress with white
accessories and a corsage of
pale pink carnations.
For a wedding trip to North-
ern Ontario, the bride 'wore a
powder blue and white sheath
ensemble with white accessor-
ies and a corsage of red carna-
tions. On their return they will
reside in Goderich.
Guests were present from To-
ronto, Hamilton, Flint, Mich.,
Halifax, N.S., London, Owen
Sound, Orona and Port Dover.

Blake Mennonite Church was
the setting for the marriage of
Helen Marlene Riley, daughter
of Mr.• and Mrs. Nelson Riley,
RR 2, Kippen,, and Lewis James
Gingerich, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Noah Gingerich, RR 3 Bayfield,
on Satufltl'ay, July 14, at 2:30
p.m. Rev. Ephriam Gingerich
officiated at the ceremony and
was assisted by Rev. Orval
Jantzi.
• The bride was given in mar-
riage by her father. She chose
a waltz -length dress full skirt
of terylene, bodice covered with
rose patterned, nylon lace and
lilypoint sleeves and scalloped,
neckline, white. headdress, and
carried a white Bible with cas-
cade of red and white roses.
Her sister, Grace, of Kippen,
as matron of honor, wore a
mauve brocadedeta dress,
full skirt with ,4 curirberbund
and scooped neckline, white
headdress and accessories. Her
flowers were pink colonial car-
nations.
Doris and Eleanor Riley, of
Kippen, sisters of the bride, as
bridesmaids, w or e identical
street -length gowns in green
and yellow -taffeta. They carried
pink colonial"carnations.
Groomsman was Mr. Stuart
Steckle, RR ,2, Zurich, and the'
guests were ushered by Mi.
Wayne Clausius, cousin of the
bride, and Mr. Leroy Martin,
cousin of the groom.
A. male quartette sang "A
Prayer From the Crusaders',' and
"The Voice That Breathed On
Eden." Soloist, Mr. Stanley Gin-
gerich, sang "The Lord's Pray-
er,"
For a reception on the lawn
at the bride's home, her mother
chose a dress' of turquoise arnel
pleated, three-quarter sleeves
'with 'V -neckline, and grey and
white accessories. The groom's
mother wore a silk grey and
white dress. Those assisting at
the reception included: Mr. and
Mrs. Don- Rader, Miss Rebecca
Steckte,..Miss Dorothy Steckle,
Miss Esther Steckle, Miss Paul-
ine Steckle, Miss OIive Martin
and Mist Donna Heywood.
For travelling on a honey-
moon spent in Pennsylvania and
other points in the U.S.A., •the
bride changed to a turquoise
and grey dress, with pleated
skirt and white accessories, and
wore a pink rose corsage.
Guests attended from Bay-
field, Zurich, Dashwood, Exeter,
London, Baden, Breslau and
Sturgis, Michigan. The couple
will reside in Bayfield,

Bible Course
The closing program of the
Cromarty Co-operative Bible
School was held , in Cromarty
Presbyterian Church on Friday
evening. A display of crafts
and work books had been set
up in the basement.
The average attendance for
the was 108. There . were 10
classes, With 17 teachers and

Mrs. Elwood Roe, of Atwood,
was the guest for the evening
and showed films • and gave a
talk and' commentary on her
trip to Japan. The mission
theme for the church school
was "Japan." •The evening clos-
ed with devotions conducted by
the intermediate class of the
Vacation School. The collection
of the week amounted to
$30.01, and the Friday night
collection to $32.61.
Mrs. Edgar Elligsen thanked
Mrs. Roe and Mrs. R. Sholdice
thanked the teachers and help-
ers for their co-operation. Lunch
was served to Mrs. Roe, the
teachers and helpers.
The Luther League met on
Sunday evening and opened
with the hymn, "Saviour, Like
a Shepherd Lead, Us." C : e
French read the scripture

in prayer. The hymn, "0 Ma
ter, Let Me Walk With , hee,"
was sung. Gloria Mue=ge was
in charge of •the busi '-ss. The
next meeting will .be eld July
29, and the Luther eague pic-
nic is to he held on August 19.
The meeting closed with re-
creation.
Cemetery- decoration service
is to be held on Sunday after-
noon, August 26, at 3 o'clock at
St. Peter's Lutheran Church.

eral was held on Saturday.

Stratford Hospital.

from a trip to England and the
Continent. His family •and Mr.
and Mrs. Howard Querengesser,
of Mitchell, met him at Malton

in Northern Ontario.

There passed away in McKil-
lop- Township on Sunday, J144'
15, Mrs. John W. Little, in her
78th year. The former Ellen E.
Conway, she was born in Eng-
land and came to Canada and
resided in Toronto, where she
received her education and
training as a nurse, coming to
this district in 1927.
She is survived by her hus-
band and two brothers, John
and William, both of Toronto.
A member of First Prtispy-
terian Church, the funeral was
held from the G. A. Whitney
funeral home on Tuesday, at 2
p.m., Rev. J. C. Britton officiat
ing. • Interment was in Mait-
landbank cemetery.
