June 23, at 10 o'clock provided
the setting for the wedding of
Antonea M. Visser, 11R 1, pub.
lin, and John M. Snyders, of
London. The bride is the daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Visser,
Dublin, and the groom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence
Snyders, Forest, Ont. Rev. R.
Durand officiated at the cere-
mony and sang the Nuptial
Mass. White chrysanthemums
decorated the altars. Mrs. Jno.
Nagle presided at the organ
and the soloist was Mr. John
Van Geffen.
The bride was given in mar-
riage by, her father and wore a
floor -length gown of Chantilly
lace over silk, styled with a
fitted bodice, lilypoint sleeves,
and sabrina neckline with irid-
iscent sequins and pearls. A
tiarra of pearls held her finger-
tip .veil of nylon tulle. She car-
ried a bouquet of red roses and
stephanotis.
•Miss Mary Visser, London,
sister of the bride, was maid
of honor. She wore a cocktail -
length dress of Iight green or-
ganza over silk with a white
lace bodice and matching acces-
sories, She carried a bouquet
of red roses.
Gerard Snyders was best man
for his brother, and Joe Sny-
ders- and Peter Visser ushered.
A wedding dinner served
at the Legion Hall, itchell.
For a wedding ip to North-
ern Ontario, th ride donned
a beige dress and matching
jacket with hite , accessories,
and a corsage of roses. On their

Rev. A. Johnston united in
marriage recently at Brucefield
United Church manse, Donelda
Margaret Jane, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Joseph Lostell, RR 3,
Kippen, and Glenford Dalton,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Willard
Sturgeon, Bayfield. The bride
chose a powder blue gown of
nylon chiffon and net over
bouffant style taffeta under-
skirt with lace -fitted bodice and
lilypoint sleeves, accented by
a corsage of red roses.
She was attended by the
bridegroom's sister, Mrs. John
Boyes, Seaforth, wearing yel-
Iow sealleped net over • a
bouffant style taffeta under-
skirt, white picture hat and ac-
cessories, and a corsage of
white carnations. The best man
was John Boyes, Seaforth.
A reception was held follow-
ing the ceremony at the home
of Mr. 'and Mrs. John, Boyes.
Guests were present from Ram -
ore, Kincardine, Bayfield and
Seaforth. .
A miscellaneous shower was
held at the home of Mrs. Frank
Lostell in honor of her niece,
Mrs. Glen Sturgeon, the former
Donelda Lostell, for the rela-
tives; • She received many lovely
and useful • gifts. The bride
thanked everyone. ,
The 4-H Club girls sponsored
a shower at the home -of Mrs.
William Bell. Mrs. Sturgeon re-
ceived ,xa beautiful lamp and
magazine rack.
Mrs. John Boyce, sister of
the groom, held a miscellaneous'
shower for friends and relatives
at her home for the June bride.
She received many Useful and
beautiful, gifts.
Kippen United Church con-
gregation held a miscellaneous
shower, following her recent
marriage to Glen Sturgeon. She
was the recipient of many love-
ly .gifts.

Unit No. 1 of Brucefield Unit-
ed Church and neighbors met
on Monday evening. A short
program was held when Mrs.
Murdoch played two piano
solos; Mrs. Mac Wilson and Mrs.
D. Triebner sang a duet, and
Miss Marion Triebper conduct-
ed a contest.IP• John Hen-
derson read a parting address
and Mrs. W. Sillery and Mrs.
Berry presented Mrs. A, .Ings
and Mrs. K•ruager with an elec=
tric kitchen clock and cannister
set.
Mrs. Ings and Mrs. 1 wager
thanked the ladies for the gifts.
All joined in singing, "For
They Are Jolly Good Fellows."
A dainty lunch was served.
Hold Shower For
Sharon McNichol
'A shower was held in honor
of Miss Sharon McNichol on
Monday evening at the home of
Miss Mary Scott, with 24 at-
tending. The living room was
decorated with pink streamers,
white wedding bells- and, many
of the summer flowers. Ceiltests
and a game of charades were
enjoyed _by all the girls, with
prizes given to the winners.
The contests were conducted
by Misses Sandra McGonigle,
Joan Roberton and Mary Scott.
Miss Barbara - Talbot read the
address, to which the guest of
honor replied. A basket full of
gifts was • presented to the
bride -elect.
BEEF AND DAIRY CLUB
The Seaforth Beef and Dairy
Club held its regular meeting
at the home of Elmer Townsend
on Tuesday evening. Three
classes of cattle were judged
and several club members gave
reasons. i quiz was conduct-
ed on the feeding of proteins
and the calculating of rations.
