The leader, Jean Evans, opened the meeting with a verse, and led in prayer. The scripture, Mat- thew 7, verses 24-29, was read in unison. The Meditation was read by Jean Evans, followed by prayer. The roll , call Was answered with a Bible verse. Plans were made for the lunch for the COC picnic. The Evening Aux- iliary is to be responsible for half the prizes. The Evening Auxiliary rally is to be held the second week of September. It was agreed to drop the July meeting. Plans were made for the August meeting. The col- lection was taken by Kay Phie- fer. The topic, "A Newsletter From British Guinea," ws:, read by Lena Noble. With her is five-year-old George, the youngest of her seven children. Miss Greene has been travelling across Canada talk- ing with women from all walks of life and gathering material for a CBC -TV special on women, The Best Thing in the World, seen Monday. The one-hour television special will set the scene- for a CBC women's conference, The Real World of Wo- man, to be held at Hart House, University of Toronto, Sept. 6-9. There was a good attendance with twenty- one members present. PreSl- dent' Mrs. Robert E. McMillan opened the meeting with a poem. The minutes of the last meet- ing were read and the roll call was taken by the secretary. The treasurer gave her report and then took up the collection - Miss Jean Scott offered her home for the July meeting, The members were asked to. bring their Ladies' Aid collec- tion to the next meeting and give it to the secretary, Mrs. T. W. McMillan. Scripture was taken by Mrs. J. T. Scott from Matthew, chap; ter 25, verses 3440; chapter 3 of First Corinthians; John, 4th chapter, verses 7-11, and Phil- lippians, verses 19-21..- Miss Jennie Hogg led in prayer.
