DISTRICT FUNERALS, MELVIN EL.LIQTT Melvin Elliott, Mitchell, died in Stratford General Hospital late Sunday night where he had been a patient for the past ten days. He was born in Logan Township, August 11, 1885; son of the late John Elliott and his wife, the former Sarah Shean. On June, 12, 1912, he married Blanche Boyd, and they farm- ed in Logan Township until moving to Mitchell in 1946. He was a member of Main Street United Church, and of the LOL No. 908, Mitchell. Champion county correspon- dent - Mrs. George Lidster, 91 year-old correspondent of the Dutton Advance for West Port Talbot. Mrs. Lidster will be the recipient of the Ontario Hydro plaque to be presented by Wil- liam Davis, M:P.P., vice-chair- man of Ontario Hydro. predeceased by one brother,. John.
