Grey Township 'council ap-
proved a request of the Grey
Township School Area Nb. 2.
for a debenture issue of $80,-
000. The approval •was given
after a motion from a previous
meeting for the approval of de-
bentures in the amount of $60,-
000 had- been rescinded. The
school proposed is a three-room
structure.
Firemen's pay in the town-
ship was increased at the meet-
ing attended by all councillors,
with Reeve "Clifford R. Dunbar
presiding. The township fire-
men will receive $3.00 for the
first hour and $1.00 per hour
after the first when fighting
fire.
The clerk and road superin-
tendent were authorized to ad-
vertise for the purchase of a
new grader.
A special meeting of the
Council was called to approve
the request of the Public School
Board of the Township of How -
ick School. Area for the issue
of debentures in the amount of
$320,000. The debentures, to be
issued by Howick Township, will
be used for the .construction
and equipping of a new public
school.

given first and second readings

was instructed to request the

St. James' Church bowling,
league held a banquet Satur-
day night in the auditorium of
St. James' School.
Prizes and awards were made
to the top team and bowlers
over the season, and the elec-
tion of officers for 1962-63 took
place. Jack Bedard was named
president, while Ron Brady be-
came vice-president. Secretary
is Rita Duncan, and Alice Stiles
as treasurer.

plaque. The plaque will be dis-
played at Seaforth Lanes and
will include the names of the
winning team: Betty Salsbury,
Art Devereaux, Les Leonhardt,
Von Etue and John Shea. .
Individual trophies were pre-
sented as follows: ladies' high,
single, Mary Maloney; ladies'
high, triple, Toots Kelly, and
ladies' high average, Betty
Leonhardt; men's high, single,
Jack Bedard; men's high, triple,
Ron Brady, and men's high av-
erage, Al Hoff.
During ,the supper F. C. J.
Sills led in community singing,
accompanied by Alice Stile's.
