May 31st. Mrs. Percy Webster
conducted the devotional; Mrs.
Doug Coo, the Bible study, and
Mrs. William Fuss, the study.
Mrs. Currie Winlaw and Mrs.
Pearl Passmore sang a duet,
with- Mrs. J. C. Goddard at the
piano.
Mr. Harry Horton sang a
pleasing solo, "I Think When I
Read That Sweet Story of Old,
at the United Church service
on Sunday morning last.
President Mrs. Earl Campbell
presided for the May meeting
of the Women's Missionary So-
ciety of Carmel Presbyterian
Church Monday evening. Mrs.
Glenn Bell and Mrs. Archie Hog-
garth had charge of the devo-
tional and topic on "Port Work
and Immigration." Mrs. Ross
MacDonald sang a solo. Plans
were discussed for the birthday
party in dune. Ladies' Aid fol-
lowed with regular business.
Mrs. John E. McEwen showed
lovely pictures and narrated
her European trip last summer.
The Young People's Society
of Carmel Church met at the
manse Monday evening for:their
regular meeting. At their•meet-
ing May 22, the YP of Caven.
Presbyterian Church, Exeter,
will be guests. Highlight of the
meeting will be a debate, "Is
it all right for Christians to
dance," • followed with a dis-
cussion.
Rev. and Mrs. Ross MacDon-
ald attended the Huron -Mait-
land Presbytery at Kincardine
Tuesday evening of this week.
