In my last news item there
wasa statement that farmers
had to obtain permission before
posting "No Trespassing" signs
• relating to hunting and fishing.
This• is quite misleading, since
it aheuld have read: "No Hunt-
ing or Fishing" signs. Farmers
can post "No Trespassing" signs
without obtaining permission
from the minister concerned.
As a matter of fact, anyone
. who comes on your property
without permission, except in
the normal course of his busi-
ness, can he charged, with tres-
pass, whether signs are posted
or not, Hope this clears up any
confusion that may have been
created.

tact, the same as measles or
anything else, than -there is
through using fresh eggs. It
might be wise to avoid using
products containing dried eggs
until new regulations take ef-
fect, but it is hardly fair to
the egg' producers if people
stop using eggs ,because of this
latest scare.
They are having enough trou-
ble as it is without losing mar-
kets for no good reason. We
hear that the' breaking trade
-the people we've just been
talking about -are bringing in
10,000 cases of eggs from Pol-
and. These will not be mar-
keted as fresh eggs but will go
into the production of egg
melange widely used in the
baking trade and the very stuff
that is lacing blamed far this
salmonella infection. We won-
der whether egg producers in
Poland have practically elimin-
ated the salmonella pullorum
from their flocks as Ontario -
and Canadian, producers have?
President .Robson of the On-
tario Egg Producers Association
says the drastic reduction in the
number of producers in Ontario
and the regular recurrence of
such threats to the egg price
structure as this importation
from Poland underlines the ne-
cessity for organized action by
Ontarioproducers. Hemeans
one marketing plan for eggs.
"Ontario producers have a re-
putation for a high quality,
product," Mr. Robson main-
tains, "and we must press for
action that will give consumers
assurance that they will receive
nothing but this high quality."

Timely Tips
While waiting for the wea-
ther to turn warmer, it is a
good plan to study the seed
catalogue, brush up on both the
common and the scientific or
Latin names. Then we' are ab-
solutely sure of what we are
getting when we place our gar-
den orders.
Don't wait too long about or-
dering seed, especially. of the
new introductions: The stock of
these new introductions is lim-
ited the first year or so until
enough seed can be harvested
to meet demands. As soon as
your decisions have been made
as to color and quantity, mail
the orders.
