A pretty wedding was sol-
emnized at St. Columban Rom-
an Catholic Church on Satur-
day, March 10, at 11 a.m.,
when Madelon Rae Townsend,
daughter �f Mr. , and Mrs. Ray-
mond Townsend, Seaforth, be --
came the bride of • Kenneth
Joseph Maloney, son of Mrs.
Nora Maloney,, St. Columban,
and the late Joseph Maloney.
Rev. Father Coughlin officiated
at the ceremony.
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, • wore a full
length nylon sheer white dress
with nylon., lace panels.. Her
fingertip veil was held in place
by a crown of pearls and rhine-
stones. She carried a bouquet
of red roses.
Miss Ivy Townsend, Seaforth,
was maid of honor for her sis-
ter. The bridesmaids were
Misses Jean Maloney, sister of
the groom, and Miss Ann 'Dick,
Seaforth. All attendants were
dressed identically in pastel
green organza dresses, and car-
ried white baby mums.
Leon Maloney was grooms-
man for his brother. Ushers
were Leonard and Michael Ma-
loney. ,
The bride's'chosen wedding
music was . provided by Mrs.
Melvin Aicheson, Seaforth, and
Mrs. Vincent Lane, St. Colum -
ban.

The first meeting for 1962 of
the McKillop WMS of First
Presbyterian Church was held
'in the church, hall. Thursday,
March 12, at 2 o'clock. The
president, Mrs. Robert McMil-
lan presided and gave the open-
ing poem, "Kindness Never
Lost," followed by prayer and
a hymn was sung. The minutes
of the last meeting were read
by the secretary and the roll
call taken. There were. 17 mem-
bers in attendance.
There was a large amount of
business, such as sending .a
member to Synodical being held
in April at Hamilton, and other
meetings coming up in the near
future. Mrs. J. L. Bell offered
her home for the Easter meet-
ing in April. The offering was
taken by Mrs. N. R. Dorrance,
followed by a hymn. Prayer was
given by Mrs. J. T. Scott, and
the Scripture , was read by Mrs.
A. Harrison.
The study book on the British
Guiana country was given by
Mrs. J. L. Bell. It proved verY'
interesting, because she told'
about the good work the mis-
sionaries have done, bringing
the country up to better living.
The president thanked all
that helped to make the meet-

Lord's Prayer in unison. Lunch
was served by the social con-

are now residing in Seaforth.
The bride is a student at Strat-
ford Teachers: College.
Guests at the wedding were
from Seaforth, Dublin, Strat-
ford, London, Clinton, St. Col-
umban, St. Marys, Sarnia and
Goderich.
