Mrs. Janes 11,, Hogg, the for-
mer MIT Agne Staples, Col-
lingwood passed away sudden-
ly in Colin wood on Tiursda ,
March 1..
was in her 60t
Year.daughter of the late
Mr. and Mrs. William Staples,
of McKillop, deceased, was born
in McIIillop, 'and received her
education in that township.
Surviving besides her husband-
are one daughter, Mrs. Bedford
(Lois) Dungey, Seaforth, and
two grandchildren_
Mr, and Mrs. Hogg moved
from Seaforth to Collingwood
in 1953. She wag.,a member of
First Presbyterian Church, Sea -
forth. <o'
The body rested at the G. A.
Whitney funeral home, Sea -
forth, until Saturday, at 2:00
p.m., when Rev. 'J. C. Britton
officiated at ,t4he funeral ser-
vices. Temporary entombment
was in Ritz Memorial Mauso-
leum, Mitchell, with burial to
follow in Maitlandbank ceme-
tery. �..
Pallbearers were Bill Alexan-
der, Bill Barwick, John Glan-
ville, George Case, Robert Mc-
Clure and Robt. Dodds. Flower'
bearers were Gordon Staples
and Donald Hogg.

J. Wilfred Bushfield, QC, 60,
of Wingham, Crown Attorney
of Huron County, died Monday
at Victoria Hospital, -London, ....
Mr. Bushfield, who had prac-
tised law... almost 35 years in
Wingham before his appoint-
ment as acting crown attorney
in February, 1960, was appoint-
ed crown attorney"March 15th
last year.
Ill for several weeks, he was
transferred Saturday f r o m
Wingham General Hospital to
Victoria Hospital; London. He
was a member of Masonic Lodge
286, AF and AM, Orange Lodge,
Wingham, the Inions Club and a
former executive member of
the Western Ontario Athletic
Association. Ile was also a
member of the United Church.
Mr. Bushfield was born in

Brussels native, J. Bowman
Galbraith, 43, assistant crown
counsel in Toronto Since 1950,
died -Monday of a heart attack.
Mr, Galbraith was stricken
Saturday evening while watch-
ing the hockey game on tele,
vision at his Applewood Acres
home. He was taken to hospital
later in the evening after com-
plaining of increasing pains
and died in hospital Monday.
Geer'ge Galbraith said his
brother, who was known as Bo,
had no previous record of heart
trouble.
"He had a_ checkup a month
ago and everything was fine;
he was 100 per cent," said
George.
Funeral service was held
Wednesday afternoon at Miles
funeral home, Yonge St, and
St. ,Clair Ave., Toronto. Inter-
ment was in lylount Pleasant
cemetery.
Born in Brussels, Ont., Mr.
Galbraith was graduated in
Arts from the University of To-
ronto in 1941. He then joined
the Royal Canadian Air Force
and served ree years over-
seas.
Mr. Galbraith entered Os-
goode Hall after the war and
was called to the bar in 1949.
He first entered private prac-
tice then, in 1950, joined the
attorney - general's , department
as a crown counsel. He was
made a Queen's Counsel in
1960.
He is survived by his wife,
Rose; his mother, Mrs, John
Galbraith; a sister, Mrs. Elliot
Bredin, of Toronto, and a broth-
er, George, of Wingham.

16. Each unit will be re-
sponsible for a 20 -minute pro-

,euchre party Friday evening,
March 2, with 15 tables at play.
The following were prize- win-
ners: Ladies' high, Mr. Wes
Hackwell; gents' high,. Mr, Wil-
bur Turnbull; ladies' low, Mrs.
Gerald Watson; gents' low, Mr.
Wm. Dennis. Lucky cup prize
was won by Miss Ruth Ritchie.

spent the weekend with her
daughter, Mrs. Herb Travis.'

ael and Audrey visited on Sun-
day with Mr. and Mrs. Wayne,

ford 'Teachers' College, spent
the weekend with her parents,

load from the vicinity attended
the Ice• Capades 'at Kitchener
last week.
Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Miller, of
Lethbridge, Alta., left last Fri-
day after spending a week with
the former's mother. Mrs. Paul-
ine Miller, and Mr. and Mrs,
'Douglas Ennis.

Kathy and David Were Sunday
guests of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin
McDonald and Lynne.

will be held at 1:30 p.m., Fri-
day, March 9. The World Day
of Prayer • Service will follow
at 3 p.m., with Rev. K. Griffiths,

"Messengers" will be held next

schoolroom.
A combined 'service, includ-

held in Brussels Presbyterian
Church next Sunday evening,
March 11, at 8 p.m. Rev. 'A: -
Higginbotham, of Walton, will
preach the sermon.
-The monthly meeting. of the
Walton Unit of the UCW will
be held next Wednesday eve-
ning, March 14. The roll call
will he answered with' a verse
containing the word "Faith".
The topic will -be given by Mrs.
William Thamer. Further plans

Mrs. Andrew Whetham was.
hostess for the February meet-
ing. of the Dublin Women's In-
stitute. Sixteen ladies attended,
also the Dublin Coleens of the
H Club. These young mem-
bers presented an interesting
skit entitled, "Vary the Meat
in Your Menu." Their work-
books were displayed„and show-
ed excellent accomplishments.
Mrs. Lannin expressed thanks
to the leaders of the 4-H Club,
Mrs, Torn Butters and Mrs.
Charles Friend, far their good
leadership.
The roll call was answered
by each member naming a
time -saving device in her kit-
chen. Mrs. Herb Britton read
the minutes of the preceeding
meeting and Mrs. Gordon Rob-
inson gave the treasurer's re-
port. It was decided to send a
donation tO the Adelaide Hood -
less Fund.
Mrs. Joseph Dorsey read an
interesting article, "Calories
Don't Count.” Useful house-
hold hints were given by Mrs.
Charles Friend. Mrs. Andrew
Whetham took the topic, "Home
Economics," and gave an in-
structive talk on the different
cuts of meat and the proper
way of cooking them.
Mrs. Harold Pethick reported
on the banquet"' she attended in
Toronto to commemorate the
65th anniversary of the Wo-
men's Institute.
Mrs. John Nagle -offered her
home fbr the March meeting at
which a home baking sale will
take place. Mrs, Joseph ,Dorsey
extended courtesy remarks.
The meeting closed with the
national anthem and lunch was
served by Mrs. Friend, Mrs.
Nagle, Mrs. Pethick and Mrs.
Whetham. -

The marriage took place re-
cently in Winnipeg, Manitoba,
of Ann Rogoski and the late
William Rogoski, to Robert
Kelly, son of Mr. and. Mrs. Fer-
gus Kelly, of RR 2, Dublin. Rev.
I. H. Fitzgerald officiated at the
ceremony, which took place in
the Church of the Immaculate
Conception, Winnipeg.

when the neighbors gathered at
the bride's home and "presented
her with a toaster. Wednesday
evening, Miss Marguerite Dunn.

ing chair was, presented. Mrs.
P. L. Brady was hostess Thurs-
day evening at a miscellaneous
shower. The groom was pre-
sented with a purse of money
at his home in St. Andrews
