Holds Meeting The Stella Women's Institute held the first meeting on the course, "143 Pounds of Meat," in the Township hall, Staffa. Mrs. Gerald Agar opened the meeting and introduced Mrs. Russell Worden, who discussed the course under seven head- ings—why we eat meat, the im- portance of meat as a food, planning meals around meat, inspection and grading of meat, identification of meat cud, choosing meat, and care of meat in the home. Mrs. Carter Kerslake, the 4-H Girls' Club Leader, introduced Mary Ellen Doyle, who gave a short commentary on "Meat in the Menu," the project recent- ly cdmpleted by the club.
