An octopus may be an inter-

have around the house and
means nothing but trouble.

What can 'you do about the
octopus? 1. Be sure you use
only 15 amp fuses in all your
general purpose circuits. 2: Use
short extension cords matched
to the job they have to do. 3.
Do not run cords under rugs,
over nails, through hot or wet
locations. And if your fuses'
blow frequently, call in your
Housepower specialist.
Full Housepower, IS opposed
to low Housepower, means- ade-
quate wiring along with circuits
and outlets to serve all your
electrical needs. It's surprising
how low in cost it is—and you
can finance it on easy terms
either at your bank or your
utility.
The result with full House -
power is that everything works
better. Fuses no longer blow,
lights no longer flicker or dim,
and in fact all your appliances
work properly and safely. And,
too, you've added to the resale
value of- your- home.

When you modernize your

your electrical system • is 'also
• modernized to handle the in-
creased demands on it that
modern Zing calls for.
It pays tt plan for these
three essentials: ,.
An Adequate Service En-
trance—Your local electrical
contractor will help you de-
termine your needs depending
on the electrical equipment
you are planning to have.
Enough Branch Circuits -.-Be
sure to insist on a Housepower
panel with 20 circuit positions,
and several general purpose
Circuits ' of lights and low -
wattage appliances. You should
have at least two circuits for
the portable appliances in the
_kitchen, plus special circuits
for water heater, dishwasher,
air conditioner, freezer, power
workshop, etc. And of course
a full 230 -volt circuit each, for
range and dryer.
Enough Switches and. Outlets
—Indoors, switches should . be
located at every room entrance,
top and bottom of stairs and
by the bedside. Outdoor lights
should be controllable from in-
side the house as well as from
