With $10,000 Gift
THE ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTIONS of the hospital are carried out
in a bright office near the main entrance. Here, the hundreds and hundreds
of reports and returns are processed. The staff includes (left) Miss Evelyn
Cardno, clerk -receptionist; Lloyd Hoggarth, secretary -treasurer, and Mrs.
Winn McDonald, clerk. Miss Mary Battin, another member of the admini-
strative staff, was absent when the picture was taken.
WHEN VISITORS ENTER the Seaforth Community Hospital they find
themselves in this attractive waiting area. Plaques, formerly in Scott Mem-
orial Hospital, are located on the walls, and in a -corner is a display area
where gifts of the Women's Hospital Auxiliary are on sale

The Women's Auxiliary of
Seaforth Community Hospital
with their many projects, makes
an important and valuable con-
tribution to the life of the hos-
pital. In addition to the hand-
work they do voluntarily, the
members provide special serv-
ices to patients and staff.

pital in two ways: through the
voluntary work it does; and by
the funds it contributes.
Located in the lobby in the
new hospital will be the Auxil-
iary Gift Shop.
Members of the auxiliary
have been working diligently
since plans were first formulat-
ed for the new hospital to meet
their pledge of $10,000.00, and
already $8,500.00 of this has
bee', paid.
Members of the auxiliary
tour the wards twice each week,
displaying hand -made gifts and
other items for those patients
who are unable to leave their
beds.

AN ATTRACTIVE CAFETERIA, where visitors can look out through
large windows to Seaforth Lions Park and busy No. 8 Highway, serves
hospital staff and others who wish to use the facilities. The cafeteria seats
24 and can be expanded to handle 40. It is open throughout the day, with
service being provided from the adjoining kitchens.
