all will be required to have a
license from the department
for the coming year. I under-
stand application forms will be
sent out in December to prac-
tising assessors, and those who
have not had the course in
municipal `assessment will be
able to get a third-class license
for their own municipality only.
This may cause some hardship
for a year or two. However,
we cannot do anything about it
here, There will be some in-

Advance School Plans
Plans for the proposed
$618,800.00 joint Tuckersmith-
Stanley school are being pro-
ceeded with. The cost does not
include land, sewage disposal,
or equipment and furnishings.
The proposed location for the
school is on No. 4 Highway, be-
tween Kippers, and Brucefield.
In a story in last week's is-
sue, the Clinton News -Record
said that preliminary s,ketches
for Huron Co. School Area One
central school to be situated
about one mile south of Bruce -
field, have received tentative
approval from the Ontario De-
partment of Education. Just as
soon as final drawings for the
school can be completed by the
architectural firm of Hagarty,
Buist, Breivik & Milics in Lon-
don and forwarded to the De-
partment. for final approval.

R. P. Buist, project architect,
told board members that com-
pleted plans for the school
should be ready for submission
to the Department within six
weeks. The board is now aim-
ing for a September 1966 open-
ing date for the new ultra-
modern structure which will
include 16 classrooms, library,
gymnatorium, opportunity class
room and facilities for two kin-
dergarten classes to serve
school children from Tucker -
smith, Stanley and Bayfield.
Architect Edward Hagarty
advised board members it
would be advantageous to call
tenders at the earliest possible
date, perhaps even this year.
He said contractors would soon
begin lining up jobs for 1966
and predicted a "construction
boom" for the coming year.
Stanley school board chair-
man Jack Taylor said Wednes-
day morning during a tele-
phone conversation that no
changes in the architect's
plans are anticipated. He said
the meeting in London was
called to discuss materials to
be used in the building.
Mr. Taylor added the board
had decided to go to a lagoon
type sewage disposal system as
opposed to a septic tank and
disposal bed. A lagoon is con-
sidered by many to be more
permanent and less trouble-
