Are -Wed 45 Years
Mr. and Mrs. John Meagher,
Seaforth, celebrated their 45th
wedding anniversary on Satur-
day. The occasion was marked
by Mass at St. James' Church,
conducted by Father Laragh,
followed by a family dinner at
the Commercial Hotel. During
the afternoon Mr. and Mrs.
Meagher's brothers and sisters
were entertained at a recep-
tion at their home.
They were married in St.
Patrick's Church, Dublin, on

Celebrate Harvest
Home Festival
The celebration of Harvest
Home Festival was held Sun-
day at St. Peter's Lutheran
Church here. The Sanctuary
was beautifully decorated with
fruit, vegetables, flowers and
grain. A foreign mission stu-
dent from 'the Waterloo Semin-
ary, Geoffrey Tannassee, a
member of the Indian race from
British Guiana, was the guest
speaker, and his topic was, "The
Grateful Heart."

Course In Leathercraft
A leathercraft course will be
held Nov. 22, 23 and 24 at the
home of Mrs. Kenneth McDon-

read a letter received from The
Canadian Freedom From Hun-
ger Committee, sent to all ole e•
gates who attended the FWO
conference in Guelph
The - last speaker on the
Thursday afternoon was Mr. J.
H. Hulse, who spoke on "Feed•
ing the World in the Future."
He announced that the trar•
ing centre for Asian foorl'tp^h•
nologists at Mysare. India had
been 'officially opened, and that
students from 12 countries
were present at the opening
course. These countries urgent-
ly asked for the centre in or-
der to train their men and
women in practical methods of
food preservation and distribu-
tion. Mr. Hulse announced that
November 1965 "World Food
Month", will ,,in Canada be de-
clared "Share-a=Loaf Month."
Every Canadian family will
be asked to donate 25 cents, the
price of one loaf, each week in
November, all of which money
will go •to save the lives of
hungry Asian people through
the Canala Mysare Project.

interesting colored slides of a
trip taken recently • to the
Smoky Mountains, Tennessee,
and other States, also several
from the 1964 and 1965 Insti-
tute bus trips.
Mrs. Bolger made courtesy
remarks and presented the
speaker with a gift. The motto
was given by Mrs. James Nolan
on "Life is like a garden: it
bears the fruit we sow," end-
ing with a poem, "The Twig
Bender" and an article entitled,
"Take Time."
The president, Mrs. Rey ?Wil-
liamson, presided for the busi-
ness, opening with the Institute
Ode and Mary Stewart .Collect
repeated in "unison and the
singing of "0 Canada."
Committees were appointed
for the fall rally of East Huron
Institutes. to be held in Walton
Community Hall, "Monday, Oct.
