Mrs. T. Laing was hostess for
the Septeinber meeting of the
Women's Missionary.' Society,
Mrs. Laing presided and open-
ed the meeting with a .poem
and also led in devotions. Mrs.
Grace Scott had charge of the
study- book, reviewing the first
chapter of "Through the Years
Overseas," with Mrs. T. Laing,
Mrs. Calder McKaig and Miss
Olive Speare assisting. The roll
call was answered with an it-
em on work of the Bible So-
ciety. The secretary read re-
ports of the June and July
meetings. Business was conduct -
"ed by the president, Mrs. M.
Lamond. Mrs. R, Dodds read the
Glad Tidings Prayer. `A film-
strip on Bible Society work in
praiil was 'shown. The meeting
closed with 'a hymn • and the
Lord,'s. Prayer. Lunch was serv-
ed by tile hostess, . assisted by
Mrs. J. Jefferson and Mrs. K.
McKellar. '

The first meeting of the fall
