French Chantilly.lace fashioned the bodice with its empfre waist- line, scalloped scoop neckline, trimmed with . tiny seed pearls and three-quarter sleeves. A chapel train with scalloped Chantilly lace edging,fell from a tailored. ' bow at the high waistline over the gently cbn- trolled skirt and her elbow - length veil was held by a self - rose. Red roses comprised the bridal bouquet, while the at- tendants carried bouquets of pink and gold baby chrysanthe- mums. Miss Jo Anne Stapleton, Dub- lin, cousin of the bride, was mail of honor, and the groom's sister, Miss Sharon Agar, Staf- fa, was bridesmaid. Their floor - length frocks of deep pink sheer overlay on taffeta were styled with empire waistlines and long sleeves with trains flowing from a bow at the `high waistline • in' the back. They wore wedding ring headdresses centred ' with single roses and short veils. William• Spence, Mitchell, was his cousin's best man, and the bride's brother, Michael Staple- ton, Dublin, was usher. Enghsi1 Double Weather Is No Problem For Lady Bowlers • M UCW Plans Fellowship Gathering The Seaforth Ladies' Lawn Bowling Club has been active this past two weeks, despite in- clement weather, and winners of the McLean trophy were a rink skipped, by Mrs. Ida Close, Rose Phillips, vice, and - Mary Ann Phillips; leads Helen Con- nell's rink was second, and Marie Muir placed third. Last Wednesday saw a good turnout for the Whitney tro- phy event, and a rink from Goderich, skipped by Mrs. Grace Scrimegeour, were ..the winners;. Mrs. Du Val, of Wing - ham, was second; Mrs. Marion McLeod, of Goderich, third; Mrs., Ida Close's rink, fourth, and Ella Munroe's rink, fifth. This Wednesday there was a ladies' trebles in Wingham, and Thursday evening we hope to send several rinks to Mitchell to a mixed trebles tournament,.
