the further request of the Pub-
lic School Board of • Wallace
Township School Area for the
issue of. debentures in the
amount of $30,000, this amount,
additional to previous proposed
expenditures of $400,000, mak-
ing .a total of $430,000,00 to be
raised by debenture§ by the
Corporation of the Township of
Wallace for the . construction
and equipping of a, new Public
School.

The, . September session of
Huron County Council will op-
en at 10 a.m. on the 20th,' as
originally planned, Clerk -treas-
urer John G. Berry has advised
the members. A survey indi-
cated objection to a proposed
change.
At the June session a special
committee was- set up to study
and report upon the ,regional
government plan announced by,
the Ontario Government. Ot-
tawa municipalities were re-
ported recently to be planning
action. Members of the Huron
committee are Reeve 'Reg Jew-
ell, Goderich; Reeve . Calvin
Krauter, Brussels; Reeve Robert
Gibson, Howick; Reeve -Donald
'McKenzie, Ashfield; Reeve Ar-

fbrth in 1966 was thechallenge
given by township' chairmen at
a recent' meeting to discuss the
Farmstead Improvement Compe-
tition in connection with the
match and the centennial pro-
ject. Each township chairman
indicated that by the entries
coming in they would certainly
have the county winner and
would be a ,contender for the
top• Provincial prize.
Of course everyone will be
making improvements td their
farm homes and buildings, as
well as the .surroundings, to
welcome the many thousands of
visitors to the county in 1966,
and it is hoped that all will
enter the township competitions
to compete for Ate township
champion and thinany prizes
offered. The • township cham-
pions will compete for the coun-
ty championship and go on to
the zone finals.
