The TANGO $24.95
DAMON SAYS
Perhaps you are considering the purchase of a mantel
radio. If so, there are several things you • ought to know.
First, it may be that ,you can buy a, small radio for as little
as 14.95. The chances are that the case will be of thin
plastic, which will crack easily, and that the chassis will
be°a thin plastic circuit board, made by the so-called printed
circuit process. • This is fine where small size and low cost
are a prime requisite.' But the heat of vacuum tubes some-
times plays hob with this type of construction, net to Men-
tion the effects of humidity, rough handling and changing
tubes. Soo -o, if you are paying $24.95 or fnere yoit are
entitled to something better. Like Zenith's' "Tango” (il-
lustrated), with handcrafted, hand -wired steel chasis' and
beautiful' heavy polystyrene cabinet. Before you buy
any mantel radio (or clock radio), see and hear Zenitli.
