J. Frank *right, a resident
of 'Nippon, died Sunday,, July
18, in Toronto Western Hospi-
tal The deceased was born
August 21, 1912; in Ribbert
Township, the son of- the late
Mr. and Mrs. James Wright. In
1927 he moved with his par-
ents to -his late residence on
No. 4 Highway, where he farm-
ed until hospitalized a month
ago.
He was a member of Carmel
Presbyterian Church, Hensall.
He was a past District Deputy
Grand Master of the South
Huron Masonic District, and a
Masonic service was held Mon-
day evening at 9:30 at the fun-
eral home. "
He is, survived by his wife,
the former • Esther Mcllwain;
two daughters, Eleanor and
Lois; two sem, James and Gor-
don, all at home; one brother,
Gordon,. of Alliston, and one
sister, Mrs. Orland (Laurabelle)
Reichert, RR 2. Hensall..
Rev. J. C. Boyne, Exeter, of-
ficiated at the funeral service
at the Bonthron funeral home,
on Tuesday, July 20, with in-
terment in Hensall Union ceme-
tery. The pallbearers were Or-
ville Workman, Clarence Bren-
ner,,Gerald Moffatt, Dave Trieb-
ner, Cliff Henderson and Geo.
Clifton. The flowerbearers were
Elgin Thompson, Jack Deitz and
Emmerson Kyle.
Brian Leslie Armstrong
Public funeral services,were
held Sunday from Bothron
funeral home, }Jensall, for
Brian Leslie Armstrong, 2, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Arm-
strong, RR 3, Bayfield. Rev.
Murdock Morrison officiated for
the service, and burial was in
Bayfield cemetery. Brian pass-
ed away at his home Thursday
evening, and is survived by
his parents, two sisters, Linda
and Bonnie, and a brother,
Bradley, all at home.

Surviving are his wife, the

Lawton, Waterdown, N.Y.; Mrs.
Erie Huspead, Rochester, N.Y.
The body is at the Lodge
funeral home, Goderich, where
a funeral,service will be held,
Thursday at 2 p.m. Burial will
be in Maitland cemetery, Gode-
rich.

Joins Troupe
Daily papers carried a recent
story telling of the tour being
taken by the granddaughter of
Mrs. Earl Stroat, of Hensall:
"Eleven -year-old Janet Sproat
is now in . England, part of a
youthful troupe of Shakespear-
ean players who are giving
English audiences a glimpse of
the Bard a' la Americaine..
Janet is a Windsorite, the'
daughter of Dr. and Mrs. W.
R. E. Sproat, of Victoria Ave.
She is a member. of the Shake-
speare for Youth division of
the Restoration Arts Theatre
of Detroit.
The tr$upe will tour Britain
for three weeks, performing in
plays such as Macbeth, . Romeo
and Juliet, and Julius Cesar.
James Allen Jones, of Detroit,
is the leader, of the group,
which consist of 17 teen-age
players and the Fest adult cha-
perones or stage crew.
Besides performing, t h e
group will have a chance for
extensive sightseeing 'in such
cities as Stratford -on -Avon,
Leeds, Winde;hiere, London,
Coventry and Buxton."

Biggar Reunion
Hess -Haven cottage' • in the
Pinery was the setting Sunday
for the annual Biggar reunion,
attended by 95 members of the
clan from Hamilton, Plattsville,
Baden, Strathroy, Watford, For-
est, Glencoe, Corunna, Sarnia,
Hensall, Pontiac and Lincoln
Park, Mich. At the conclusion
of a delicious picnic supper,
sports were enjoyed under di-
rection of Mr. and Mrs, Tom

Ken Doan, of Corunna. Eldest

The McArthur reunion was
held at Riverview Park, Exe-
ter, on Sunday, with some 50
members of the clan attending
from Niagara Falls, Toronto,
London, Blenheim, Ingersoll,
St: Thomas, Exeter, Hensall and
Zurich.
In charge of sports were Bill
Elliott and Shirley McCowan,
both of St. Thoma' '1id Joan
Elliott, Zurich. Prizes were
awarded to -Mrs. G,tadys Boyd,
or Niagara , Falls, for coming
the farthest, distance; wedding
anniversary closest to date of
reunion, Mr. and Mrs. David
Hall, of Toronto; youngest child
present 'as. Joanne Bell, Hen-

dren.

The dual wheels of an un-
loaded cattle truck passed over
She legs of a 14 -year-old Hen-
sall boy Wednesday after he
fell while climbing on the ve-
hicle. Leonard (Lenny) Smale,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard
Smale, was admitted to South
Huron District Hospital, Exe-
ter, with bruises and tire burns.
The boy had been seen climb-
ing on the side of the truck
during 'unloading operations at
the Hensall District Co-opera-
tive, Where his father works.

against Brussels netted Hensall
a win by a 1,6 to 12 score. All
the gals were hitting well, with
Dolly Mattson belting out an-
other home run. Friday night
Hensall fought hard against
Brucefield,' at Brucefield, arid
lost, by a bare 6 to 4 score. The
runs were scored by Gail Mar-
celle, Dolly Mattson and,Linda
Regan.

The July meeting of Crom:
arty Ladies' Aid was held at
the home of Mrs, Jim Miller.
Mrs. Gerald Carey presided in
the absence of the president,
Mrs. M. Scott, and opened
the meeting with a poem, "The
Cross At the Crossways." Mrs.
Jim Miller read the Scripture
lesson from Psalm 95, and Mrs.
John Wallace led in prayer.
Six members answered the roll
call and two guests were pres-

The closing program of the
Constance Bible School was
held in the church on Friday

of the family decided to bay
one of those "newfangled" hear- •
ing aids. Two weeks ,later, he
stopped in at the store where
he bought the device and re-
ported to the delighted man- -
ager that he could hear con-
bersetion quite easily now, ev-
en in the next room.
Manager: ",Your relatives
