Reid explained about Achieve-
ment Day.
Unit Plans Activity
The July meeting of the 8th
and 16th Unit was held at the
home of Mrs. Rae Houston on
Monday, evening and opened
with singing hymn 346, "Fill
Thou My Life, 0 Lord My God,"
with Mrs.' Wilbur Turnbull at
the piano.
The Scripture was read by
Mrs. '. Wilbur Turnbull from
John 1:1.10. An article, "Walk-
ing With God," was.. read by
Mrs. Kenneth McDonald,' fol-
lowed by prayer: The ' topic,
"Faith .and the Fragmented
Life" and "The Touch of Hu-
mand Hands" were both read
,by Mrs. Ken' McDonald. The
minutes were given by the sec-
retary, Mrs. George McCall. The
roll call, a verse from Psalms,
was answered by twelve ladies
and there were three guests.
Hymn 308, "0 For a Closer
Walk With God," was sung and
the Lord's Prayer repeated in
unison. Bible quizzes were con-
ducted by Mrs. K. McDonald
and Mrs. Harold Bolger.
The business was conducted
by the president, Mrs. Harold
Bolger. Mrs. Rae Houston and
Mrs. Ken McDonald are to be
on the committee to plan for
the Centennial in September.
An apron is to -be passed
around and a patch sewn on
during the next month.
Those who can help with the
cleaning are to be at the
church at 1:00 p.m. on Wed-
nesday. Lists were given out
for a coming wedding. "Grace"
was sung and lunch served by
Mrs. Alvin McDonald, Mrs.
James Snaith and the hostess.

Mr. Galbraith is the son of the
late Mr. Harry Galbraith, Mc-
Killop. The Galbraiths visited
also the former home' of his
father, where Mr. Oliver Pryce
and Mrs. Thomas Pryce now
reside.

First Church WMS met at
the home of Mrs. James 'Keys,
The meeting was opened with
the Call to Worship; "A Wo-
man's Prayer."
The Ladies' Aid fees were re-
ceived at this meeting, as well
as the general collection. San-
dra Coleman played a piano
solo, , "How Great Thou Art",
and Mrs. Helen McMillan, the
group leader, . took over the re-
maining part of the meeting.
The sb th chapter of the stu-
dy book, "Today's Concern For
Those • Who Come and Go," was
taken, and Mrs. James P. Scott
offered her home for the Au-
gust meeting, "Breathe On, Me,
Breath of God" was sung.
FUNERALS
FRANK WRIGHT
'Funeral services for the late
Frank Wright, aged, 52, of Kip -
pen, who died Sunday in West-
ern Hospital,. Toronto; were,
held from the Bonthron funeral
home, Hensall, on Wednesday
at 2 . p.m.
Mr. Wright was' a past dis-
trict deputy grand master of
South Huron Masonic District.
Be was married to the former
Esther Mcllwain, who surives,
along with two daughters,
Eleanor and Lois, and two sons,
James and Gordon, all at home.
A brother, Gordon, of Alliston,
and a sister, Mrs. Orland (Laura
Belle) Reickert, RR 2, Hensall,
also survive.
