The gown was complemented by a short white satin jacket with a, round neckline which tapered towards the back and fell into a long train. Matron of honor was a sis- ter of the bride, Mrs. Edward Ingold of New Hamburg. She wore a white lace over deep aqua ,gown, floor -length. Her unique bouquet consisted of long stemmed chrysanthemums sprayed aqua to match the dress. A demonstration on how to transplant and thin vegetables was given by Mrs. Jack Hern, and the members also learned how to freeze vegetables and fruit. A talk was given by Mrs. Phil. Hern, leader, en insecti- cides. Progress on the gardens was given by everyone pres- ent. The next meeting will be held on July 26 at the home of Mrs. Phil Hern. There will be no church ser- vice during the month of July. •Rev. Mac Carson preached his farewell service on Sun- day before leaving to take up Social Welfare work in Hamil- ton.. Kathy Hern, Janet Skinner and Mar- garetand Marilyn Johns sang two numbers, Mrs. Wesley Neil, of Kirk - ton, gave an account of otter stay at Alma College last year. Mrs. Jackson Woods, told of her visit to several churches in England when she visited there a month ago. Mrs. (Rev.) Wilson was ask- ed to come forward and was presented with a gift from the UCW by Mrs. Everett Skinner. Lunch was served by Group A. A social time was spent by the ladies.
