John L. Berry, Huron Coun- ty clerk -treasurer, advised the university last week of Huron county Council's recominenda- tion. Mr. Berry said that the grant will include two $100:00 scholarships to be awarded to the man and woman from Hu- ron. County who obtain the highest marks, regardless of what year they might be in. In addition, there are to be ten $100.00 bursaries. J. 0. Hemphill, Director of Development at the University of Waterloo, had appeared be- fore county cduneil on January 22, and presented a brief on behalf of the university urging Huron County to continue its assistance. • Fifty-two students from Hur- on County are attending • the Lniversity of Waterloo this year: Corn Club Meets The third meeting of the Tuck- elrsmith• 4-H Corn Club was field ill the Department of Ag- riculture Board Room, Clinton and was opened by Tom Papple with 'the 4 -Il pledge. Will Clean Clubhouse - 'The Seafarth Ladies' Lawn Bowling Club held their April euchre and,bridge at the home of Mrs. John Harvey with Mrs. Harvey, Sr., as hostess. There were three tables of bridge and two of euchre playing. The bridge prize was won by Miss Bessie Gtieve and was do- nated by Janet Cluff. The euchre prize was won by Miss Jessie Finlayson and donated by Mrs. Lorne Dale. Courtesy remarks were extended by Mrs. Ida Close.
