at 4:30 o'clock, in the Ontario
Street United Church, Clinton,
when Janet Louise Tyndall,
Clinton, became the bride of
John Frederick Slavin, Clinton.
The bride is the :only daughter
of Mr. and .Mrs. -Harold Tyn-
dall, King St., Clinton, and the
groom is the -Only son of Mr..

Grant Mills, minister of 'the
• church, performed the double.
ring ceremony,. Miss,Lois Gras -
by, organist; accompanied Mrs.

Given in marriage by her
father the bride chose 'a sheath
floor -length gown on Empire
lines of French Ligoda. A cape
coat of. Chantilly -lace, styled
with bell-shaped elbow -length

Seaforth, also the rummage and
bake sale to be held in Clinton
on May 29th. A thank -you note

The May meeting will be held
at the home .of the leader, Mrs.
Henderson, with Mrs. G. Hen-
derson and Mrs. Berry in
charge; lunch committee will
be Mrs:, J. Broadfoot, Mrs.
Richardson and Mrs. Hender-
son, Mrs. Scott was thanked
by Mrs. Henderson for the use
of her home.

Mrs. Ronald •McKay, Clinton,
was matron of honor, and
bridesmaids were Miss Marilyn
Rathwell, Windsor, cousin of
the bride, and Miss Sharlene
Turner, Clinton. They were
gowned in' identical turquoise
beau • de soie sleeveless floor -
length gowns with white elbow -
length lace jackets. Wedding
band headdresses of matching
material caught their shoulder -
length veils, and they. carried
the bride's gifts of white show-
ered Bibles, clustered with
white, lilies. "
Wendy Tyndall, Clinton, cou-
sin of the bride, as. flower -girl,
wore a white peau de soie frock
with bouffant skirt, and she
carried a floral ball of white
baby 'mums with turquoise
tulle. Paul Gibbings, Clinton,
was ringbearer.
Frank Murch,. "Clinton, was
groomsman, and guests were
ushered by Gene Powell, Gode-
rich, cousin of triq groom, and
Gordon' Clinton, only
brother of the 'bride. '
For the dinner which follow
ed the ceremony in..the Chris
tian Education Wing of the
church, and, for the reception
later in, the Clinton Legion' Hall,
the bride's mother' receiyed
wearing a sheath of chiffon
over taffeta dress in pink tones
brown accessories, and mink
stole with a corsage of deep
pink Delight roses. She was as
sisted .by the groom's mother
who wore a sheath dress with
fitted jacket of turquoise im
ported- terylene -. and cotton
faille, navy accessories and cor
sage of roses,
The bride's step -grandmother
Mrs.. Ed. Welsh, Clinton, who
was present for the occasion
wore •a beige ensemble, white
accessories and a corsage of
white carnations.
Following the reception the
young couple left on a motor
trip to the United States, the
bride wearing a white suit with
white picture hat, with black
trim"' and black patent acces-
sories, and orchid corsage.
Both the bride and the groom
are graduates of Stratford
Teachers' College, with the
bride teaching at S.S. No. 13,
McKillop Township, and the
groom a member of the teach-
ing staff at the Clinton Public
School. They will reside in
Clinton.
