The regular meeting of lien-
sall , Dinette Chili was held at
the home of Mrs. Robert Cald-
well, Wednesday evening, and
was vice-president's night, with
vice-president Mrs. Wm. Russ
in the chair for the business.
Mr§. Wayne Smith; a guest,
was presented with a gift in
appreciation of her Assistance
during Goderich Hospital vis-
its. Plans ' were finalized for
the attendance at the annual
inter -club meeting at Port Dov-
er, April 27th.

The raffle was won 1,by Mrs.
Bob Caldwell. The next meet-
ing will be held at the home

pital, where she was a patient.

home they purchased from Mr.

Carmel • Presbyterian Church
and their leader, Mrs. Harold
Bonthron, met at the home of
Mrs. J. C. Boyne, Exeter, Wed-
nesday evening and enjoyed a
joint party with the CGIT group
of Caven Church. A recreation-
al period of games and contests
was enjoyed and luncheon serv-
ed.

guests Sunday with Mr. and

Public School held a success-
ful auction on Thursday after-
noon of articles brought in by
the pupils, •which • was high-
lighted by a bake sale, home-
made candy, refreshments, etc.

is very artistic at fashiqping
alligators out of bread dough
and has sold hundreds all over
the country, and was pleased
this week when trainmen from
London, going through on the
CNR freight through Hensall,
called at the shop and gave a
large order to take back to
London on the train.

Last ' Thursday evening the
Young Couples Club of "the
Christian Reformed Church, Ex-
eter, met in the 'church school
room and had as their guest
speaker, Miss Gertrude Wilkes,
social worker and resident of
Goderich for .14 years, who is
concerned . with adoptions and
unmarried parents, and gave a
very informative ,talk , of her
work.
Last Sunday the Young Peo-
ple of the Christian Reformed
.Church, Exeter, visited the pa-
tients at Queensway Nursing
Home, Hensall. The devotional
period was led by the president,
followed with the singing of
hymns.

A total of 24 attended the
Hensall-Chiselhurst Young Peo-
ple's meeting at the Hensall
United Church. Eric Ross';' Lois
Simmons Robert MacNaughton
and Dave Pyette took part in
the devotions. Joyce • Flynn fav-
ored' the young people with. a
piano solo. The Scripture pas-
sage of the Prodigal Son was
acted out. on a record, under
the directions of Doug Currie.
A discussion "followed. A bed-
tiful color film called "Trans-
Canada Summer," was shown.
It showed how every province
took part in building the Trans-
Canada Highway. It was very
educational as' well as an in-
teresting film. Doug Currie had
two games full of mental and
physical ability.

neighbors of Mr. and Mrs. Jack
Consitt and three sons, Larry,
Billy and , Dwight, • who move
to Hensall this week. Twelve

Were in play, winners being:
ladies' high, Mrs. Earl Papple;
men's high, Bob Gemmell; la-
dies' low, Mrs. Stanley Jackson;
men's low, Oliver MacKay. A
floating lone hand was won by
Bill •Kerslake.
Mr. and Mrs. Consitt and sons
were taken to the front and a
corsage was pinned pn Mrs.
Consitt. The address was read
by Lloyd Cooper and gifts pre-
sented by Jim Chalmers and
Alex. Miller. The 'gifts to the
boys were presented by Ken-
neth and Ronald Chalmers and
Brien Miller.: Mr. and Mrs.
Consitt were recipients_.. of a
large plate glass mirror and a
light -up smoker stand. The
boys each received cuff links
and tie -bars.
Mr. Consitt thanked h i s
friends and neighbors for their
kindness. Lunch was served
later. •
