The gown, styled along princess lines with an elevated waist- line, fell into a tiny train at the back. She wore a mantilla of Chantilly lace which fell to a fingertip veil, and carried a white wedding prayer book, made by her aunt, Mother M. Geraldine, crested with a white orchid and stephanotis. Miss Connie Eckert, Seaforth, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, and the bridesmaids were Miss Donna Ross, London, sister of the groom; Miss Ro- chelle )'errarro, Guelph, and Miss Blanche Spooner, Timag- ami. They chose identical full- length sheaths of cranberry red velvet with matching, jackets. Their headpieces were wide - draped bows of matching vel- vet, and they carried cascades of white carnations set in holly. The flower. girl, Miss Theresa O'Hanley, Parkhill, cousin of the bride, wore a dress of cran- berry red velvet, trimmed' with white velvet,. fashioned in an empire style. In her hair she wore a small bow of matching velvet; and carried a nosegay of white carnations and pink, rosebuds. The groom was attended by Clare Ross, of London, as groomsman, acrd ushers were John Bachus, Patrick • Eveland and John McCarthy, all of "Lon- don. Michael Davis, George- town, cousin of the bride, was ring -bearer. For a reception in . the Sea - forth Community entre, the bride's mother received in a sheath dress of blue lame, with black accessories, and a cor- sage of orange roses. The groom's gift to the bride was a cultured .pearl neckpiece with matching earrings, and to the groomsman . and ushers, in- itialled leather jewel cases. For a wedding 'trip the bride chose a cherry red wool ;and mohair boucle suit with black MRS. jsARE1.LA ROSS• Mrs, Isabella• Ross,' 84, Sea. - forth, died Thursday at Scott Memorial Hospital here. She 'had been in hospital seven weeks. Born in Lucknow,•..:she was the former Isabella M. Haig. She is survived by two sons, Stewart McGregor, Seaforth, and Robert Ross, London. She was predeceased by her hus- band, R. J. Ro.Ss. A member of First Presby- terian Church, she was a life member of the. Women's Mis- sionary Society. • The body was at the Box funeral home, where a funeral service was held Saturday, with her minist , Rev. D. 0. Fry, officiating. Temporary entomb- ment was made at the Elizabeth Ritz Mausoleum, Mitchell. Pall- bearers were John E. ' Patter- son, Dan Burns, Earl Gray, Wal- lace Ross, J. Scott Cluff and Norman Gaunt. tiered' cloche and- black acces- sories. A corsage of white car- nations completed her en- semble. Mr. .and Mrs. Ross will re- side at 5 East Ave., Kitchener. Guests were present from Halifax, N.S., Fort Wayne, In- diana, Detroit, Windsor, Tem- agmi, Chatham, London, Strath- roy, Parkhill, Ridgetown, Oak- ville, Toronto,- Barrie, Niagara Falls, Georgetown, Trenton, Walkerton, Goderich, Walton, Dublin and Seaforth. The groom is a graduate of the University of Western On- taria and a member of Sigmache and the bride is in the graduat- ing year at the same univers- ity. Prior to her marriage the bridebride was honored at a number of events. A miscellaneous shower was held at ,the home of Mrs. Art Devereaux. Assist- ing were Mrs. Clarence Malone, Mrs. T. R. Melady, Mrs. Bill Chesney and Mrs. Harry Hak. During the evening bingo was played and a program, consist- ing .of a reading by Mrs. Mae Hillebrecht and piano selections by Dawna Reynolds and Angela Devereaux were enjoyed. An address of good wishes was read by Mrs. Hak, and Cathy was the recipient of many love- ly and useful gifts. In .her gra- cious manner, Cathy expressed appreciation and, all joined in singing, "For She's a Jolly Good Fellow." A delicious lunch was served. A tea was also held •at . the home of Mrs. Ed. Boyes, Eg- mondville, when a group of for- mer classmates gathered in her honor. The hostesses, Mrs. Alex Chesney, Miss Dorothy Boyes and Mrs. John Consitt, provided a social afternoon when appro- priate games were played and Cathie was presented with love- ly gifts. After expressing her thanks, a lunch, which was en- joyed by all, was served. Another fathering of friends was held in London . by Miss Blanche Spooner, Miss Mary Ellen Campbell and Miss Mary Catherine Bromley, when' Cathie was presented with a, set of aluminum cookware. A lovely miscellaneous show- er was held at the home of Mrs. Harold Agar, assisted by Mrs. Salm. Scott and Mrs. Francis Coleman:" Games were played and Cathie received beautiful and useful gifts, for which she expz'essed her sincere thanks. Warm 'Weather Brings Flowers The mild December weather has resulted in an unusual dis- play of gardenplants, which continue to bloom. Typical is a carnation picked Christmas Day in the garden of Miss Ida, Love, in Huilett, which was brought into the office this week by, Mrs. W.
